One of my favorite shore of excursions of all time was with 'Tour by Van' in Acapulco. They get 5 star ratings on Trip Advisor. Some people never got off the ship because they were so worried about crime. If we hadn't gone on this tour I would never had the chance to release baby sea turtles, watch the cliff divers, go to the witchcraft market and feel completely safe and looked after.

I called the Empress hotel and the "tea" lady said she doesn't know anything about a tea on September 17 evening so she was unable to give me any information. She said they only have teas in the afternoon. Sorry I couldn't find out any details for you.

The Fairmont Empress does have a lovely afternoon tea. https://www.fairmont.com/empress-victoria/dining/tea-at-the-empress/ It is only about 4 km to the Empress so it would be an inexpensive cab ride. If the Empress charges $95CAD that is about $70USD.

We had a port cancelled at the last minute and replaced with Puerto Montt. When we arrived there (March 2023) were l of taxis and companies offering tours. We had already decided just to walk around town so I couldn't say how the prices were compared to online companies.
