If you read the description of the ports you will find all the answers easily, I do not agree that the answers are posted in the forum
That's how I found all the answers, I just posted these answers just so that if someone is unable to find answer to some questions as some of them have been worded to trick people like the one for the Trail length.

Just got an email from celebrity introducing Power Up Points. You can earn these points by doing non-sailing activities like survey, social media activities etc. 10 Power Up Points = 1 Club Point.
Not sure how many activities will they be launching to earn these points but sounds like a great way to increase your membership tier.
What do you guys think about this?

hey do you guys know if NCL is running double up promotion or any other promotion related to Cruise Next currently?

Each card holder can set up their own individual account as the card numbers are not the same even though they’re linked to the same account.
Thanks

The card number will be different. At least that's the case with me.
My wife is a user on my account but has her own card with totally different number and her own login as well.
Thanks, let me try that

If you want to use the offer on both cards each card has to have separate on line access accounts and like Xdisconnections said you have to first load the offer to the card you are going to make the charge on and then make the charge on that card.
Can someone help me understand this, If I get an authorized user added to my account (say my wife). She will get her card but all the details will be the same like Card number etc. How does she gets her own online account, i thought you have to have your own account to get online account. Please help

Anyone have the reward take longer than a day to post after they paid? I made a payment on my upcoming cruise 3-4 days ago, immediately received the e-mail that I had used the AMEX offer, but still no credit. I'm getting worried now since others said it credited the next day.
For me , the credit did not show up for about 14 days, I contacted their customer service, he escalated the issue and credit appeared within next 2 days

In short, no.
There is a future cruise desk on board and the deal offered includes a small amount of OBC. However you will get same offer good for two weeks after you disembark.
If you have no particular plans for your OBC, rather than pre-paying your gratuities you might consider letting them be charged to your on-board account, and your OBC will be applied to them.
I hope you enjoy your cruise.
Thanks for your response, I already paid my OBC to use my AMEX card offer. If there is nothing good to buy on-board. I will see if I can get cash out from casino, I read somewhere on this forum on how to do it.

I will be on carnival later this month and have some OBC to spend. Is there anything that is sold on-board that is similar to Norwegian CruiseNext voucher which are sold at about 50% of their face value and can be used to pay for any future sailing?
-
Thanks Bellebaby!
That's what I'm hoping for. It's odd because I'm the primary account holder and it shows up on my card but only one of my two authorized user accounts (kids).
How does the authorized user account work? I always thought if I add authorized users to my card they will have the same card number and hence the same account. Am I missing something?

Here is my review of the August 30th sailing on the Liberty.
Son and I flew in day of sailing. We had a 7 am direct flight into Orlando that got us to the airport at 9:15am. We ubered to the port....
What were your port of calls? and how was the weather there? Was it raining?
-
check out ebay, they go from anywhere from 1$ to 10$ for pack of 6-60. They work like a charm.
-
What about buying a gift card online? I bought one and it just says carnival.com....how can they tell it was a gift card?
The charge for the reservation show up as Carnival RSRV or something similar like that. Based on what I have heard, gift card will not work.
-
After about 30 or so Carnival cruises have gotten upsell offer about twice.
If you book direct one phone call from upsell dept. Via TA they have to contact TA to contact you and than back to TA.
Seems to me if you were Carnival would concentrate on direct calls.
I agree, also I think the TA number will not be a direct number and would go to a call center. They might not be too much interested in following up on the calls.
-
Initially I used to book directly through the cruise line and used to receive stateroom upgrade offers as I will approach the sail date. For my last three cruises, I started working through a Travel agency and has not received any offer?
Do you have more chances to get upgrade offer when you are booked directly through cruise line vs Travel agent? What has been your experience?
-
My cruise is fully paid, can I use this offer to prepay my gratuities? Will that work ? It's an 8 day Horizon cruise for 4 people, it comes out to a little over $400.
Yes it would cover the Gratuities.

4 day cruise on the Valor this past November was $25/person plus taxes and port fees. They also gave us a $50 OBC, basically meaning my husband and I got to cruise for just the taxes and port fees. Fingers crossed they do that again this year! :D
Was it a Casino offer?

I said I would prefer the credit to post before my statement closing date and they said to call about 3 days prior to that. For me that is this friday. So I will be calling on friday if I don't see anything by then.
Thanks Tonyhb12

I have the same issue. I called and they said it should be there in a few days. In the past when I did this, the credit was there within a day for both cards I used.
Did Customer service mention on how long it could take before you should call them back.
-
I was able to use this offer on my 2 cards for a new reservation, received email from AMEX "Thanks for Using offer" Instantly. Received credit on one of the card the very next day. Still waiting on the other card. Is it normal? How long does it take for it to appear. I know AMEX says wait for atleast 90 days after the promotion end but based on my experience it never takes that long?
Anyone else who has used this offer and still have not received the credit yet?

We stayed in one on the Glory a couple years back. This link has pictures. Best room we have had. Spent more time in the room than on any other cruise.
I know the view is just amazing. Now that’s what I truly call an ocean view room .
I am planning a cruise on liberty and unfortunately from what I am hearing they have neither grand scenic nor scenic ocean room
-
Hey does anyone know if they have scenic ocean view available in Carnival Liberty??
-
Thanks everyone for all the great info.
Just one more question, how would I know if I have refundable or nonrefundable OBC?
Some of the OBC is coming from our having Carnival stock and we get $100 OBC for that.
Another $200 is from our Carnival CC where we are cashing in points for OBC.
Would these be refundable or not?
Cheers
Len
That information will be available in your sail and sign account. It will categorized total OBC into Refundable vs Non Refundable.

I am aware of cruisenext that you buy on ship but what are cruisefirst. are they similar to cruisenext, you can use them against the deposit on new or existing booking? do we get same reward like 50% off when we buy them from NCL
