  1. We are just a 7 day, key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. Love this itinerary

If possible, can you get some pictures of the dinner menu's in the MDR? I'm sending my mom on this itinerary or her honeymoon and need to know the best night to send them to Murano.

  2. This happened to me this morning, a LARGE online TA is having their annual Firecracker sale, and they said the 1 cat upgrade is not available on the "Special Rates". I take care of the bookings for our groups and they have a FCC from an accident last trip. This same TA said they would be able to honor the FCC but will not be able to provide the added Grats ($270 for the 10 night), however they were able to provide a total of $500 OBC in addition to the Classic Bev Package. The original deal was the Classic Beverage Package, Tips, and $300 in OBC. Not a bad deal.

  3. In my experience, the prices at the online TA's I use are generally lower than celebrity's prices due to their group bookings and come with additional perks. I would book before and then if the offer on-board is wonderful you can cancel the first booking. Be wary of cancellation fees at some large online TA's though.

  4. Thank you both!! Not quite elite-plus yet, but will definitely watch for a 30% off sale. Hope it occurs!

    Hi Jayander,

Looks like they are having a 20% off sale this coming weekend on most pre-cruise packages. Not the 30% you were hoping for, but its still better than Full Price.

  5. We attended the April 8, 2017 showing in Westlake Village, CA from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. We arrived around 3:15 and the first showing was at 3:30 (every hour). We were provided with either Champagne or Water (you get to keep the Celebrity Champagne glass) and Caviar, no additional food other than the Truffle popcorn during the presentation. As mentioned early, the presentation was the same as the one presented on-line early in the month. The second part was a presentation by Brent Nixon which was very good on some of his experiences as an underwater scientist.

At the end of the presentation they gave a gift bag with some brochures and a $25 gift card to Ticketrewards. They did not try to sell any cruises during the event. Said another way, if you wanted to book a cruise, there was no one there that could help you.

Since we live very close to Westlake Village it was easy to get to. I would not, like others have stated, make a special trip just to attend. Celebrity has really raised the bar with the Edge, really out of the box thinking. It's going to push other cruise lines to come up with something unique other that just building bigger ships.

Thanks for the recap. I still haven't received an e-mail confirmation, but we'll still go because it is something my girlfriend would like to do. And worst case we have a date night in Long Beach.

  6. I signed up on-line for this Saturday in Westlake Village, Ca. For the TA, I put in the normal agent we use. I got a confirmation that my request was received, but not an official notice that we can attend. There are two time slots, 3 to 5 and 5 to 7.

Thanks! Signed up again because I didn't get a confirm.

  7. Couple questions for those that have attended...

    - Once you RSVP'd is there a confirmation e-mail or do you just show up hoping you're on the list?

    - I beleive the Long Beach stop is open to the Public, but the RSVP form asks for an agency. If you are not with an agency, what do you put in the "Agency" box when RSVPing?

  8. Hi everyone, I am surprising my Mom and her husband with a cruise as a Honeymoon/Anniversary present, and I wanted to book them a hotel room with free shuttles from the Airport and to the Cruise Port, so they don't have to worry about transportation once they get there.

I have found, and stayed at the SpringHill Suites, which were nice, but food choices were limited within walking distance at the hour our flight got in.

I have looked on sunny.org and through the board, which is how I found Springhill.

Are there any other hotels that offer BOTH the free airport and cruise port shuttle?

  9. I'm a cruiser who has gotten used to and enjoys the little luxuries that Celebrity has come to offer me over the past 20 or so years. I know it isn't everything it used to be, but for us, the current pricing structures are perfect and fit our budget.

We know what to experience with Celebrity and are very satisfied with the product.

However, we are taking a group cruise and they are looking at MSC, now I know I would probably love the YC but they wouldn't. And taking a trip together and being in YC away from the rest of our party kinda defeats the purpose.

So, my question is, what is MSC Cruising like in any of the "Experiences," compared to Celebrity?

  10. I, along with my GF, have been conditionally approved for GE. However, the time slots for anywhere surrounding Southern CA are into January and beyond. We have scheduled are appointments for FLL the day before our cruise, but obviously won't get the cards. Can we access the GE line without the GE cards and just our passports upon disembarkation?

  11. Rick if this is for the 5 night, you need to book now! That is less than $27 a night. The ultimate pkg is $29 a day, but you do get unlimited visits to em all.

    EW

For the Ultimate Package, do you need to book that super early or is it not available on all sailings? I'm looking at my Planner right now for Dec 9 and they have the 5 dinner for $134.10 or $26.82per night or the 3 Dinner for $89.99 or $30/night, but no mention of the Ultimate.

Also, if anyone knows how Sushi on 5 works with the package, information would be appreciated. We love Sushi and look forward to trying it!

  12. Considering going on my second lifetime Celebrity cruise in December. What do you think about these ports of call (as a group) on a 7-day Reflection cruise?

    Cozumel, Mexico

    George Town, Grand Cayman

    Falmouth, Jamaica

    Labadee, Hispaniola

Two years ago we did a cruise that had San Juan, Grand Turk, St. Thomas, and Nassau. We were pretty happy with those ports overall (especially St. Thomas and San Juan). Do you think this is a good group or not? I've been to Cozumel, which was okay, and Grand Cayman, which I really like, but not Jamaica or Haiti. Welcome all thoughts.

I did this same itinerary in December of last year on the Silhouette, it being my girlfriends first cruise. It was absolutely incredible.

We did excursions in every port:

I have some pictures on my website http://ctwb87.com/index.php/cruises/silhouette-cruise/photos/, but I haven't got around to putting everything up. So if you want to see some pictures or videos let me know.

  13. I did that for my girlfriend on the Silhouette last December, it was wonderful. I didn't have to pay for Dinner and I was able to make a reservation in Murano once I got in the ship.

As soon as you board head to the Specialty Dining table, and they can get you all set. The guest relations helped me with setting up the Champagne, Breakfast, Roses, Strawberries and Cake.

Totally worth it and the Dom was the best Champagne I have ever had.
