    The best way to do the UBP: drink all day pool side then take a nap before dinner then drink til about 2, go to osheehans for a late night snack and then wake up and have about 2 peach bellinis then repeat!! It’s how my mom and I made it through my 21st birthday cruise in March and how we plan on spending our time in November on the Getaway[emoji23]

    Hi all! I will be going on the Getaway on November 25 and was wondering if anyone would be willing to email me their freestyle daily as? It would be easier since I’m going on this cruise with my mom and grandma (grandma is not tech savvy and lives in Alaska). It would make it easier to plan everything. TIA!

    NY/NJ area experiencing one and off severe storms (last night, today) ...not so sure anyone would want to drive anywhere today!!!

     

     

    My mom and I drove to Miami in a snowstorm because our flight was delayed. It actually worked well cause there wasn’t many people on the roads.

    Deck 17 and 18 Sun Decks have lots of loungers to take in the sun without the crowds around the pool

    Or for a private sun deck and bar, there is the Vibe. Only 80 passes are sold for the 4500 passengers, first come first serve at guest services.

    And there is always the public Wave bar at the main pool.

    Cruise Hacks

    Looking for any cruise hacks that can make my cruise better! (ie over the door shoe hanger). It is my mom and my grandma with me on his cruise and we are staying in a balcony. It is my 4th cruise but I always am finding ways to make cruising a little easier/enjoyable. Thanks!!!

    It should be running in the morning - they will be picking up passengers at POM and bringing them to MIA, so no reason you can't get a ride to POM. You likely can't check in for your cruise until after about 10:00 -- how early did you want to arrive? :confused:

    I have used Alamo several times - renting at MIA for a few days before the cruise, dropping off there and taking their free shuttle to the port. It is very easy and not chaotic, which is not what I hear about the port locations.

    Thank you for providing updated information. We did this several years ago and I am happy to hear this continues to exist. We are flying into FLL and renting a car before returning it to MIA the next day. Happy to hear this!

     

     

     

    What is the earliest time I can get a shuttle from MIS to POM? We want to be at the cruise port by 11ish

    Hi all-

    Dailies-I tried to post the dailies (2x) and received a security error. I reached out to CC support but no reply. If you message me I can try emailing them to you.

     

    Jamaica-the port area was very nice and we felt completely safe. The cost for the Hilton Rose Hall was $117pp-it is pricey. That did include transportation. We paid $53 each up front to ResortforaDay and then the balance was paid directly to the resort upon arrival (credit card).

     

    Curacao-good point on the departure time change. Our itinerary showed 5pm as well so we were surprised to learn we would be there until 9:30p. Its a short distance to the next island so guessing this will be the case for you too but I can't say for sure. All the other times were as stated.

    Day Of Cruise Arrival at EWR - Arrive 11:20AM - Crusie 3:00PM?

    Thanks for all the information.

     

     

     

    How about a flight that gets into LGA at 8:35AM on the day of the cruise.

     

    This will be the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

     

    How long to the Port and at what cost?

     

     

     

    We have something to do Friday and any day before flight would be arriving very late Friday night.

    LGA is further than EWR and there could be a lot more traffic because it is in NY. Have you looked at Philly (PHL)? You could try gettin in at 7/8a then getting to the cruise terminal. However, it is much safer to fly in the night before and get a cheap motel.

    Yes. Last October I paid about $125 for a 250 minute package.

     

    There's also a 100 minute package.

     

     

     

    Or you can 'pay as you go" for 75 cents per minute.

     

     

     

    There is also a $3.95 set-up fee, waived if you pre-book.

     

     

     

    Be aware that internet is very slow. I only used it for email.

     

     

     

    Is there an unlimited plan?
