I think everyone should be required to work as a waiter, in retail, or as a CNA at some point. I think we'd see a lot less entitlement if people focused on doing more for others instead of the me me me mindset, which unfortunately is rampant here on cruise critic. It's the same mindset as "the customer is always right," which does NOT mean you get to treat other people like crap.
Absolutely true !! Love it !!

Thanks for the review !
We're on the Anthem in October for a 12 nighter, so looking forward to it.
Hopefully by then all this will be a distant memory...

Attachment above came thru too small, this looks better ! :D
 Nope...guess not

I usually pay it in equal chunks, with the last payment a week of so before the due date..That way it's not such a big hit at the last minute if something happens..

Yes, your cabin has its own thermostat, but there is also a contact on the balcony door that turns off the air conditioning when the door is open.
Makes sense, thanks..
Been digging around to find the other thread to read how it was explained, 'course now I can't find it..

Wifey and I booked an obstructed view balcony cabin on the Anthem for this October 29th, and I read in another thread here that keeping the door open for long periods of time affects the heat/AC settings in the adjoining rooms which may lead to complaints..
One of the advantages I saw in the cabin we chose was not so much the view, but being able to get some air in the room while in the Caribbean. Is there any truth to this? Do the cabins not have individual thermostats and controls ?

Independent Tour in Falmouth
Best tour in Falmouth was a private walking and local cuisine tour. Booked online. Here is the website: http://jamaicaculinarytours.com/tours/view/falmouth_food_tour_868291713#.VrT1Y1mgyW4
Never been, and sounds like something we'd both like..Thanks for that !!

If the ginger beer has alcohol, prepare for them to take it.
No alcohol in ginger beer, I'm planning on bringing some myself ! :)

Hi Mags !
I've had great luck with the Sea-bands, was skeptical at first but they worked great !
Also, don't sink in too deep with the negativity and complaints you'll read here, you'll have a great time....enjoy !!

This is not your father's cruise ship. However, if you love new experiences and can go with the flow, you will enjoy her.
Exactly what we're looking forward to !! :) ( 12 day out of Bayonne 10-29-16 )

In anticipation of fully enjoying our Anthem cruise in May 2016, we have researched Seaband Wristbands just in case. According to the reviews they work really well and it's all based off of pressure points, no medication to make you sleepy or miss out on any of the perks of having the drink package!
Here is a link to some at Target, I'm sure many places sell them though!
I was a bit skeptical on these, but I wore them 24/7 on our 10 day a month ago and felt great ! Give 'em a try !

Main Dining Room also, tend to over-eat if I end up at the Windjammer than I feel "bleh" the rest of the morning...

Unfortunately, there have been many negative reviews on RCCL lately. :o
True, but most that have a positive experience don't tend to post reviews and comments. It's the ones that encounter problems that make their voices heard..

I'm not stressing it. If we let them start dictating what we do and where we go because of fear, they have won and gotten what they wanted. Unless and until we are locked in our homes by the government, I'm not altering my plans.
Of course, I also believe that when it's your time, it's your time and that will happen regardless of where you are. I also believe the leading cause of death is life - I'm not going to let fear get in the way of living.
Thinkin' the same !! :)

I'm sure this has been addressed elsewhere, but do both in the cabin have to buy the drink packages ?
-
I keep pushing the idea to just stay at a park and ride hotel (Embassy Suites) and avoid this parking nightmare.
I guess it depends on how long of a drive you've got to Bayonne. We're from Ct. so it's best for us to just park in the garage and walk to the pier.

Didn't have any problems at all x
Hi Claireabella !
We've booked that same cabin for a 12 day Western Caribbean next October, glad to hear you had no problems. This is a new option for us this year, so it was a crapshoot to booking an obstructed-view room, my goal is more to be able to open the door for air during the cruise rather than the view. But the agent showed us a few pics taken within the cabins available and it looks like it won't be bad at all.:)
Looking forward to it !
