  1. We are fresh off a b2b Hal -Ncl.  Both same size ship. Food IMHO was equal with more selection on Ncl. Also on Ncl having the sports bar open all night was great for a late snack . Entertainment was also equal with more music venues on Ncl. Staff were slightly better on Hal although we were told the Ncl ship we were on was a training ship and it showed mostly in the mdr.Hal drink package is much better although Ncl had a much better beer selection. Internet worked great on Hal, terribable on Ncl although they didn’t have starlink yet on this ship. On Hal we seen the officers including out and about a lot , never once on Ncl. So in summary I really believe it’s hard to compare as different ships within a line will give a different experience. As well crew from one cruise to the next can also vary in its service. I will close with there was more younger folks on Ncl although we are noticing this also on Hal as the free, 49$, stand buy and other Hal gimmicks is attracting a somewhat different crowd than folks who pay full fair.

  2. If you dont mind sharing what is the price of the tux you had made.Years ago I had one made in Hong Kong along with some shirts and an off white cotton suit. Also had a pair of snakeskin shoes made. This was all same day service and if I remember correctly the total cost was under 500 us dollars.Love your reviews and pictures, they help so much when we will visit there in 2026.

  3. We did the B/A to San Antonia including Antartica this past Jan,/Feb. Loved the ship, would do the journey again in a heart beat. The crew was great, the Captain was awesome, out and about all the time, also keeping us well informed. The rolling rock band was very good. All in all no real complaints.Sailed back to Miami on NCL from San Antonia , thats a one and done Im afraid .i will do a report on that cruise later.

We have a "Local Cooking Experience" tour in Buenos Aires.  I thought it had read 7:15 am...but looking at our tickets...it's 7:15 PM.  Oh boy...will need some espresso martinis before we go.  😬

They do eat dinner very late (compared to us) in South America.  10-11 pm dinner is not uncommon for them.

We will be in B.A. in late January and this tour sounds interesting. Is it a ship tour or private. Any details would be much appreciated.

  5. We were on the Koningsdam for 35 days South Pacific in March. Was one of the best cruises we have been on and we are four star .Sure there is the odd little issue here and there but with a full ship that’s to be expected. Everyone on the cruise was enjoying themselves right up till disembarkment. We were also on the Zaandam this spring in Mexico.Although not near as much entertainment , it was also a great cruise. We have four HAL cruises booked over the next 18 months , can’t wait.

  6. We were just on Zaandam cabin 1877.Shower was bad, old tile that was cracked, very small with shower curtain. We had an issue with small bugs coming tru cracks, took pictures to finally get them to come and spray for them.Water was hot and pressure was ok.It looked like some cabins had been updated, our cruise was packed so no room movement at all.
