Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yes I tried for our Jan. 2025 cruise and got the same reply, wait till November.
  2. Do you have a guest lecturer on board and if so who.
  3. 1988. Our honeymoon on RCL . Chocalate fondue , everyone dressed up for dinner , shooting skeet off the back of the ship. Times have changed for sure.
  4. We did a half day tour to Brazil then headed to the airport for a 5 P.M. flight to B,A, Worked out well and was definintly worth it.
  5. We also stayed at the Wyndham Tango in Jan. pre cruise for 7 days. Loved the hotel, the staff were super helpfull and location was great.
  6. We are fresh off a b2b Hal -Ncl. Both same size ship. Food IMHO was equal with more selection on Ncl. Also on Ncl having the sports bar open all night was great for a late snack . Entertainment was also equal with more music venues on Ncl. Staff were slightly better on Hal although we were told the Ncl ship we were on was a training ship and it showed mostly in the mdr.Hal drink package is much better although Ncl had a much better beer selection. Internet worked great on Hal, terribable on Ncl although they didn’t have starlink yet on this ship. On Hal we seen the officers including out and about a lot , never once on Ncl. So in summary I really believe it’s hard to compare as different ships within a line will give a different experience. As well crew from one cruise to the next can also vary in its service. I will close with there was more younger folks on Ncl although we are noticing this also on Hal as the free, 49$, stand buy and other Hal gimmicks is attracting a somewhat different crowd than folks who pay full fair.
  7. If you dont mind sharing what is the price of the tux you had made.Years ago I had one made in Hong Kong along with some shirts and an off white cotton suit. Also had a pair of snakeskin shoes made. This was all same day service and if I remember correctly the total cost was under 500 us dollars.Love your reviews and pictures, they help so much when we will visit there in 2026.
  8. On our recent Antarctic cruise they had the same issue with the lectures and no seating. They then recorded them and we could watch on our room tv any time.Worked out perfect.
  9. Our last cruise on the koningsdam milkshakes were included at the gelato bar in the H.I.A.
  10. Milkshakes are included ,at least on the last four HAL ships I was on.
  11. Odd, we tried to book march 23 Mexico at full fare three weeks ago and were told its sold out. Also confirmed on web site as sold out.Now i hear there giving the cruise away for 49$, i think its time i try to call someone higher up the chain for an explanation.
  12. We did the B/A to San Antonia including Antartica this past Jan,/Feb. Loved the ship, would do the journey again in a heart beat. The crew was great, the Captain was awesome, out and about all the time, also keeping us well informed. The rolling rock band was very good. All in all no real complaints.Sailed back to Miami on NCL from San Antonia , thats a one and done Im afraid .i will do a report on that cruise later.
  13. We are also looking at doing the same tour.
  14. On our south pacific cruise last spring they offered the lectures twice daily so everyone could take them in due to high demand.
  15. We will be in B.A. in late January and this tour sounds interesting. Is it a ship tour or private. Any details would be much appreciated.
