We were on the Getaway in December and I have several restaurant menu pictures, bar menu pics, etc... I don't have one of Moderno as last time we were there (on Epic), the meat quality was not so good (don't know why)... but Cagneys was great. From personal experience, I would never cruise a NCL Mega ship without being in the Haven!

We have truly enjoyed the Haven as well; and with a teenager with us, we still have the activities available for her that would not be available on the true luxury ships mentioned. We've been on Epic, Getaway, Pearl and Escape and I wouldn't do the cruise without being in the Haven so you have some space and luxury. We did a custom tour with Rony's Tours in Roatan- and part of that day was on the beach (West Bay). Cozumel we decided on a Cooking School and had a fabulous time (and the meal was amazing)- held at a restaurant called Kondesa. As we're seasoned cruisers, we tend to build our own excursions by leveraging TripAdvisor reviews; gives us alot of freedom and I'm VERY good about getting us back to port in plenty of time :):)

The beach in Roatan was nice, although alot of people asking you to buy stuff- they were not rude or pushy tho.

We were on the Norwegian Getaway in the Haven and it was amazing.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal. Do your research in advance and then you do not complain about the balcony size....

 

Was wind a problem? - nope

 

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

 

Any specific problems with this cabin? - nope

 

Any other comments? - great stateroom, spacious, modern, full of storage place, 3 TVs, DVD players, Lavazza coffee machine, nice colours.

To answer a few questions. We were charged 119 euro per person- so a whopping price unfortunately. Delta check in counter told us they could not take our baggage until two hours prior in Nice. Lesson learned, next time I book something directly for ourselves. Thanks everybody for the feedback.

This is our first Oceania cruise- we've been on many Norwegian due to having kids along and wanted to try an 'adult' ship. I may have erred in booking the ship to airport transfer from Monte Carlo to Nice. We were provided tags and told to be in the lounge at 7a for a 1p flight. Of course, did not look up distance to airport as I assumed Oceania would provide good service and get us here at right time.

We will be sitting in the Nice airport lobby for 3 1/2 hours as we cannot check bags until two hours prior to flight. Not only could we have enjoyed a bit more of Monte Carlo and a leisurely breakfast, but a couple hours extra sleep would have been nice too

I understand they want to boot you out to get ready for the next group but this is honestly horrible customer service.

Does everyone else just book their own transport and skip this mess? Or is this to be expected?

We just disembarked Riveria. If it's upgraded one wouldn't know it. Dropped pretty consistently, very very slow experience when it was working. Only one device at a time allowed so always wondered which decide was still logged in.

We just left the Riveria, concierge A room 11042 smack under the pool/bar area. One night there was a party (dance) with DJ and it was if a herd of elephants were tromping across the deck. During the day was mostly just footsteps or kids running. We had port stops daily so was only an issue the one night
