I hope it works out for you and that they consider you vaccinated.  You’ll have to apply to be accepted as an unvaccinated guest, otherwise.  Have you found cruise insurance to cover your trip?

Looks like policy's are changing again.  Celebrity has now announced that ALL passengers over the age of 12 MUST be vaccinated.  Can't sail unvaccinated anymore unless your under 12 yrs old.

  2. My TA just emailed me to say we need a 3rd poke in order to cruise.  Celebrity updated their policy for unvaccinated passengers or people that are vaccinated but have a mix - like ME!!

All sailings departing the U.S. are subject to guidance from the CDC. Celebrity Cruises will continue to abide by CDC guidance and require all guests, 12 years and older to be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.  Guests scheduled to sail aboard Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Equinox or Celebrity Summit out of South Florida must be vaccinated in order to sail. To comply with this requirement, guests ages 12 and older must provide documentation of full vaccination at the terminal as a condition for boarding.

All of SASKATCHEWAN has opened up for 3rd shot for those who want to travel internationally...saw on the news this morning...hopefully other provinces will follow

LETS GO ONTARIO - let us AZ/Pfizer people get our 3rd shot.  Its not fair.  Apparently Celebrity has announced that you must be vaccinated in order to cruise. All unvaccinated cruisers over the age of 12 will not be allowed to board.

When you log into the Ontario site you get a slightly different version which includes a watermark. On this one, my first shot specifies that it was COVID-19 COVISHIELD and the second ASTRAZENECA COVID-19 VACCINE.

So if your vaccination receipt states ASTRAZENECA COVID-19 VACCINE is this the Oxford UK AZ??

At this point, unvaccinated people who want to cruise the way they did before the pandemic hit are unfortunately left with only two viable choices:

    1) Get vaccinated, or

    2) Don't cruise until all of the virus variants have petered out.

    There is no number three.

I am fully vaccinated but not recognized by the CDC because I’m mixed. My immunity towards the virus is maybe even better than most  people with Pfizer or Moderna. So I’ll probably cruise as an unvaccinated passenger with all the protocols because I want to cruise just like the rest of you.

Well, here is your daily update.  The person I know sailing this Saturday from Florida just received a call after he was told this morning they were meeting to discuss the matter.  They just told him (again) now that for this weekend's cruise HE IS considered UNVACCINATED because his Pfizer shots were more than 42 days apart.  They say talks with the CDC are still ongoing.

Just when I thought we were getting somewhere after Michael Bayley himself said that we are considered fully vaccinated, this happens...

    This is insane😡😡😡😡😡😡

    Hello, TomChick1970.

We are sad to read of your predicament.

Are you able (permitted) and willing to receive a second Pfizer vaccination ... and, if so, would that satisfy the requirements of the RCG cruise lines?

PS:  We posted a message almost identical to this, about 20 hours ago, but it disappeared.  Were you offended by it and asked that it be removed?  If so, please let us know what we did wrong.

Hi jg51,  Sorry I didn't see your other post.

If I can get a 2nd shot of Pfizer I would be there in a flash rolling up my sleeve. I hope this might be something our Government will offer so that I can go cruising again.  The province of Quebec is offering this but its also unknown if its safe to do, and if you do take an additional shot its at your own risk.  That does makes me feel a little nervous.

President Biden gave us millions of does of AZ to Canada and Mexico and now his own country will not allow me to go on a cruise from a US port.

I do have vaccine regret and if I had waited another 2 weeks I could have had my first dose of Pfizer but we were being told the first vaccine being offered is the best vaccine and at the time it could have been another month to wait, we just didn't know. Then when it was time to have my 2nd shot of AZ they discouraged us from taking it due to many clots being reported and some causing death.

  8. I am fully vaccinated in Canada but with a mixed regime (AZ/Pfizer) RC will not let me cruise unless I go as an unvaccinated passenger.  I'm trying to decide if I should cruise adhering to all the protocols or whether its not worth it.  I would like to hear from any unvaccinated passengers who has cruised so far and their experience with having to wear masks all the time (unless your eating or drinking), the designated seating areas in all venues (casino, theatre and dining areas).  The extra expensive of taking Antigen tests (pre, mid and end of cruise) at the cost of $178 each per person.

I love to cruise and I have really missed cruising over the last 16 months, we were to board the Celebrity Silhouette on March 15, 2020 and of course everyone knows the story.😟

Please share your experience, good, bad or indifferent.

  10. This Private Jetski tour did you book through the celebrity or on your own? Please let me know.

    Thanks

Okay, now that I've caught up on sleep, here's a little more information on our cruise:

The next day we were in St. Thomas and did a private jetski tour from Coki Beach. We had an amazing time! We were fortunate because we arrived late to the meeting spot so they rescheduled our tour from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and the rest of the folks that were scheduled for 12:00 were running behind schedule so they sent the six of us out on what was essentially a "private tour" (and rescheduled the others on a 2:00pm tour). This meant we were able to go as fast as the jetskis allowed for the majority of the tour. We were taken around St. Thomas, over by St John (as close as we could get to the marine national park without breaking the law which, according to our guide, prohibits jetskis?), we did some snorkeling, and then it was back on the jetskis for another hour. It was a lot of fun, but the six of us were all very sore for the next couple of days from the jetski tour!
