Contributors here have been luckier than us, our local Sussex shop is absolutely useless. One tip, if you have a complaint about your holiday don't contact customer services and then go to the shop for any help, they'll tell you it is now completely out of their hands. Thomson Cares on Twitter will tell you exactly the same. What nonsense. We have waited over four months for an excursion repayment without any response at all from CS and it is now about to go to ABBA through Resolver. When Thomson introduce their digital plans the shops will fall like ninepiins.
I'm not sure ABBA will do anything ;)

Thanks for this Thomson are doing the trip but at £77pp I've contacted the railway directly through their website. However having read more on CC it seems you can only book through the cruise lines :(

hi
we are also on this trip, we start on the Pride of Panama and then staying on.
i have looked on the Thomson trips and nothing really takes my fancy, any suggestions would be great
see you all then:D
xx
This will be my 3rd Thomson cruise I have to say the choice and cost of the excursions on this trip aren't great. Although we have booked one while in the Dominican Republic, because I've not read good things about this port we're doing the Bayahibe Beach Break. while in St Maartins we're doing a tour with Viator a trip advisor company. Looking for something to do in Antigua possibly taxi to a beach for some snorkelling, again Viator have a few options. St Kitts is the other one I'm trying to sort out.

Jan 9 2017 2 lounge chairs and umbrella were $20.
I believe the coconut shrimp was 15 or so. Don't quote me on that. DH is still praising them and wants to have them again.
Thanks did you get a taxi from the port if so how much?

Not been here myself but I contacted Lawrence of Antigua who seems to be well respected on CC and. he has recommended this beach. I asked for something not to far away from St Johns that had food and drink facilities and close to shops etc. He's quoted $40 rtn for 2 of us.
My question is is this a good price and can we just get a taxi at the port and get there without booking?

Hi, my partner and I are new to cruising and are doing the Atlantic repositioning cruise on the Thomson Dream in April 2017, we were just wondering if it is better booking the shore excursions online before we go or on the ship, just in case there are any changes to the ports that we dock in ?
Any replies will be most welcome.

I'm on this ship at the same time with my partner been looking at various options for various ports we stop at. Thomson trip booked for DR stop. Booked Orient and Maho Beach trip in St Maarten booked with Viatour not used them before.
Lawrence of Antigua is an excursion company in Antigua google them for info. Possibly booking something with them.
Also looking for things to do in St Kitts, and BVI.
Any suggestions welcome

Has anyone got any comments on the Prickly Pear Island trip in Antigua. It is quite expensive but would like to know if it is worth the money or whether we would be better just walking to a beach near to the port.

I'm taking a Thomson cruise to the Caribbean in April sailing on the Thomson Dream. The itinerary is
Montego Bay Jamaica, La Romana, Dominican Republic Road Town, British Virgin Islands Philipsburg, St Maarten, Basseterre, St Kitts, St John's, Antigua, Funchal, Cadiz,
I'd like to propose to my girlfriend during the trip I just don't know where, as in the best place maybe one of our destinations etc. However having never been to any of them I'm not sure where the best one would be or how. (I don't mean the actual question) Obviously a sunset beach won't be possible because we'd be leaving port most days around 17,18:00. I was thinking at one of the formal dinner nights. Is it something guest services could help with when we get on board?
Thanks in advance

We are there is April with Thomson and we've booked a tour of Maho and Orient through Viatour.

I'm really annoyed at Thomson changing to La Romana I've read nothing but bad reviews of this place!!! I've complained to Thomson but nothing will change small print says so!!!

Just booked my second cruise with Thompson. The choice was completely based on my cruise with them last year. I was very impressed friendly staff excellent food. everything went smoothly. The booking experience was also good. Had no issues I was offered excursions, choice of cabins, drinks package. Everything was explained and clearly priced. I paid £40 to choose my cabin on the Thompson Spirit. The reason being is I opted for an outside cabin last year on the now de-commissioned Island escape. All I could see see was a life boat crane!!
Tour Help
in St. Kitts & Nevis

I'm in St Kitts 16/4/17 with my partner and have been looking for half/full island tours. There are a number of excursion companies and taxi companies based in St Kitts. Seek them out on the interweb and email them saying where exactly you want to go and ask for a quote. It seems you can book standard tours or specify where you want to go. It seems the issue is that most want to take a minimum of 4 though.
