Since nearly a month has passed since this post,  do you still feel Captain Dag will stay on board the Prinsendam until the handover? Thank you.

Due to late arrival, the Fort Lauderdale Seafarer's House Business Leader's Luncheon on board the Zuiderdam originally scheduled for today will be rescheduled. We received notice of this delay yesterday.

Our 8-year old triplet grandchildren love cruising on HAL. They have also sailed on Princess and Celebrity. The kids club is great.

We are Elite + on Celebrity and agree with previous posters regarding music volume. On the last couple of Celebrity cruises, we unsuccessfully sought a place to have a drink where we could have a conversation without shouting over blaring music. If itineraries and prices are similar, we'll take HAL over Celebrity.

I got a kick out of your experience. We live in the condos on the Port Everglades Inlet and have gotten a little lackadaisical about boarding. One time after we'd checked in and were in our cabin my husband realized he'd forgotten the binoculars so he caught a cab to go home. I warned him I was sailing without him if he didn't arrive back in time. He had the cab wait for him at home and as I watched from the ship's balcony, he arrived back at the ship and raced up the gangway which was raised soon thereafter.

We had another close call on I-95 as we were driving to the Port of Miami with friends whose car broke down. A family member rescued us and drove us the rest of the way but the delay was a nail-biter.

When we cruise out of town, we always fly in a day or so early, but when you live near a cruise port, it gets a little casual.

The Zaandam's wifi generally worked well from our cabin, 6101 Verandah deck for two laptops and two cell phones, even in Antarctica in January 2017. The cabin is the most forward location on that deck, other than crew quarters. Upload speeds for higher resolution photos were slower but satisfactory. Resizing photos is a good idea. We bought the 1,000 minute package expecting slow internet speeds and found we didn't need all those minutes.

We were on the Zaandam in January on the Verandah deck, starboard side, forward, with the old bathroom.
