  1. We were also on the Crown the week before dry dock and we were midship. Thankful we didn’t have any noise either. We did notice all the work on the back of the ship as we could see it from the Skywalker lounge. They also were doing work in there and running a lot of cable for the Ocean Medallion which they said wouldn’t be on the ship for about 2 years.

  2. It was on both the Crown and the Regal last week and is not on there this week according to people sailing this week.

We were on CB in Dec. and the BOGO 1.00 was not on that ship.

  3. It was so much fun! Seriously the highlight of our cruise. Download the maps.me app and then you can download the Bonaire map so you'll be able to follow along on GPS (you don't have to have your phone's data turned on to access it) - it helped us in a couple of spots where we were a little iffy on where we were (Bonaire Cruisers will give you a map with marked landmarks but we still managed to get a little confused, lol). We only did the southern portion of the island which took us about 2.5 hours if I recall correctly. Make sure you bring your driver's license! And pay the $100 deposit in cash if you can - if you put it on a credit card there could be a couple of days hold until it is released back to you. Have fun!

Thank you for all the great tips! I’m getting excited [emoji38]

  4. On our most recent visit in January we bought a day pass thru Resort For a Day at the Santa Barbara resort (they have a couple of hotels to choose from). The pass was $114 US each but you just put down $20 per person and then pay the balance at the resort. It gave us all inclusive access to the resort for the day (so, all the food & drink you want, plus water sports, towels, and access to the pool and beach/beach chairs were included) and included round trip transfers. The resort was lovely and we enjoyed a relaxing day.

You can also just wander around downtown just on the other side of the floating bridge; it's such a quaint little area! We have also previously visited the Dolphin Academy and gone swimming with the dolphins. You can book through their website - what an experience that was!

Edited to add - since you will be visiting Bonaire as well, if you are undecided on what to do there, HIGHLY recommend renting a golf cart from Bonaire Cruisers and touring the island yourself. We did this on our New Year's cruise and it was awesome; such a fun way to see the entire island on your own time. Look them up on Facebook or http://www.bonairecruisers.com

Glad to hear the great review on Bonaire carts. We have booked this for our March cruise. We have never been to the ABC Islands either so looking forward to it.

  5. We too were looking at this restaurant as our son and wife had eaten there on their honeymoon and raved about it. Is Uber in operation in Aruba? Might be an alternative if it is?

Following. I like your Uber idea.

  6. If you are looking for a toes in the sand dinner, try Barefoot or Passions. They are much closer.

Thanks again! I will look at those. I’m always open for suggestions, this will be my first time in the ABC Islands.

  7. It's south of the airport. About 7 miles from the cruise dock. With good traffic maybe 15 minutes. Cab fare can be expensive in Aruba, though. Plus it doesn't open until 5PM.

Thank you for the information [emoji846]

  8. Has anyone ever eaten here? I see really good reviews on it and thought I would ask my fellow cruisers.

Is this close to the port or do you need a cab to get to it?

  9. Even though we’ve never met in person, I’ve met your posts enough times to understand that our cruise philosophies are similar.

I don’t sweat the small stuff and when on a cruise nearly any disappointments are small stuff. ;)

Buon Viaggio & thanks for sharing your cruise experiences with us as we await our next cruise. :ship:

  10. Thank you so very much for such thorough menu / food postings. We are cruising on the Crown in March and I'm on weight watchers so I've been stressing a bit about the food situation. It looks like I'm going to be in excellent shape, so many great choices. This is the most helpful thing I've seen so I really appreciate it. Looks like a wonderful trip! I hope we have half as much fun.

Bijoux, we are cruising in March too and we are on Weight Watchers as well. I to have been stressing a little. I think I will be spending a lot of time in the gym. [emoji849]

  11. The boarding pass can be printed now as it is not totally dependent on the cabin assignment. The people that inprocess you will know the cabin number. As for the luggage tags, wait until the last possible time waiting for the cabin assignment or go to the port and they have a list of cabin assignments. We had to do this one time early in our cruising experience. Good luck and happy cruising.

Thank You! I think I might be getting a bit excited [emoji38]

  12. I booked a guarantee stateroom and haven’t gotten a cabin assignment as of yet. My cruise is 27 days out. Can you print your boarding pass and luggage tags without cabin assignment, or should I wait? This is my first time booking this way so I’m not sure what to do.

    Thanks in advance!
