  1. Just had mine filled at Publix Pharmacy and they didn’t say anything about it not being available any longer. This concerns me as I use them on very cruise as well. I will be calling them and asking about this. Thank You for the heads up on this.

  2. We are doing our first Panama Canal cruise in Dec. of this year. DH and I have been looking at the excursions. We would really like to do the Embera Indian Village, seems that there are only two of them. One is using a canoe, which states that when you get in and out of the canoe the ground can be very unstable as it’s sedimentary. The other is walking up 40 steps on handmade logs. I would like opinions on these as to how strenuous they really are. I have had previous knee replacement in left leg and the right knee is not so good. I can walk, and climb steps,(just a little slow). Thank you in advance for your help.

If anyone has any recommendations on excursions here we are open to suggestions as well :-)

  3. They should bring a group on to decorate at the first or second port call after Thanksgiving. Takes about a day to decorate the ship.

Then some passengers bring their own decorations. We usually having stockings on our cabin door.

  4. It is hard to say for sure just what will await you on the visit to the Emberas, since more than one village may be used for the excursion. The description is probably broad enough to cover all the bases. I think it is safe to say there will be some sort of walking up a bank from where the cayuco (dugout) lands. I don't believe the log steps will pose any problem except providing for a slightly irregular rise. They normally are well embedded into the ground and are stable. Besides there are normally a number of Emberas there to provide a helping hand should one be needed.

Here is a cayuco all loaded with victims... I mean visitors.

  5. Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has done this excursion. It says there are 40 steps to go up and down to get to the Indian Village, and that the steps are logs. I was wondering how stable the logs are as I have a bad knee. It would also be nice to see others opinions on this excursion as to what you thought about it as a whole. Any insight into this excursion would be great. Thanks in advance :-)

  6. We got upgraded to a aft suite and my Mother got upgraded to a mini suite. We are sailing in Dec. Panama Canal. I believe one of the engines is having a propulsion problem so everyone started cancelling. Not me, I’m happy with a suite upgrade 🤣

  7. I join the rest of you in giving a thumbs down to the canapes. We got the plate delivered for our first night in the suite and, after looking at them and wondering how long they had been sitting there, decided to not have any. Never ordered them again.

We did, however, use the P/E/S lounge as mentioned above to satiate our hunger when we were planning a late dinner. Another option passengers staying in a suite have is to get afternoon tea (or coffee) delivered to your stateroom. The sandwiches were okay but the scones and other pastries were very tasty.

So if you get the afternoon tea it comes with snacks as well?

  8. Thanks everyone for your feedback! I love learning all I can about cruising. Looking forward to our cruise [emoji568] in December. Hoping the ship will be decorated for Christmas [emoji319]. We haven’t ever done a December cruise.

  9. Substituted by what?

We have never substituted our canapés, though we don't always finish them, so I can't really answer you question, though Inhave to say that and I am struggling to think of what alternative you could be thinking about.

I’m sorry that I didn’t explain myself better. I was wondering if maybe instead of the canapés that maybe a nice cheese and cracker platter. I don’t eat fish or salmon. I’m a simple kind of person [emoji6]
