  1. So I've taken a look and pretty much all of May, June, July, August, September, and October of 2017 is now planned out and posted for the Jade on either the .com or .eu site. Based on what is provided, only June 3rd and after October 18th remain unscheduled.

According to the NCL UK News Release (http://www.ncl.co.uk/summer-2017-europe/) there are three cruise itineraries with Southampton as the home port: a 7N Western Europe, a 9N Fjord, and a 4N Mini-Cruise between Southampton and Hamburg. The 7N Western Europe have been posted and they occur in May and August, and September. NCL has also added a 9N Western Europe cruise in September and October. For some reason the 9N Fjord and the 4N Mini have not been posted.

Based on the posted schedule, the Jade is only going to the Fjords in June and August. During the relevant period, the Jade docs in Southampton on June 2nd, June 11th, June 20th, August 1st, and August 17th. As such, the only possible way to schedule a 9N Fjord to/from Southampton is to schedule it as the June 2nd - June 11th cruise, a June 11th to June 20th cruise, or to schedule it after October 18th.

  2. Basically, if a cruise goes through Southampton then embarking there seems to be an option.

In effect it is all of the Mainland Europe and Norwegian Fjords cruises. The one that goes to Iceland doesn't go through Southampton and I think the North Cape one may not as well.

Actually, I assume that the last visit to Southampton before the 12-14 day trips probably won't allow embarkation there as it doesn't return back to Southampton for disembarkation on that cruise.

If you can get on the UK site then the press release there has the info.

So I called and they said they currently aren't able to sell me the Southampton get on/get off option as it isn't in their system. Maybe next week?

    Thank you!

  4. I hope it is OK if I post a question in this thread. I can't seem to figure out how to start a new thread. (HELP indicates there is a New Thread button, but I can't find it anywhere.)

Can anyone tell me about the 2-Bedroom Family Villa bathrooms on the NCL Jade?

When I have looked a Youtube videos of the villas, the toilet stall and shower stall appear to have clear glass. Plus there is no door between the bathroom and master bedroom. Is that true and if yes, what can be done to make it more private?

There is no door between the master bathroom and the master bedroom. However, you can close a curtain at the front of the cubbie that is the master bedroom, thus closing it off from the bathroom. However, when you do this, you turn the master bedroom in to a windowless cubbie, with barely any floor space.

The toilet area and the shower area in the master bath both have a striped frosted glass door. It does not provide enough privacy for those not in an intimate relationship to simultaneously share the master bathroom.

If it helps, there is a door between the master area and the living area. There is also a second bathroom with its own door inside the second bedroom.

  5. I see they've blocked US passengers booking from Southampton as well.. Who knows what goes on in NCLs heads.. Can only guess they are reserving the Hamburg July runs for initial German release, Southampton for UK release..

    Okay, now I'm confused.

This is the Jade portion of the European press release from January:

Norwegian Jade will arrive in Europe looking resplendent after a 2,5-week dry dock and begin her regular cruises from Hamburg on May 14, 2017 with a series of 7-night Western Europe itineraries visiting Amsterdam, Zeebrugge (Brussels/Bruges), Le Havre (Paris) and Southampton (London), offered from May 14 to 28 and from August 19 to September 23, 2017. A longer Western Europe itinerary of 9 nights is offered on September 30 and October 9, 2017 with additional stops in Portland and Brest. In addition there will be two 9-night cruises to the Norwegian Fjords on June 4 and 13, 2017 with stops in Ålesund, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Flåm and Bergen as well as Southampton (London), along with two 10-night Norwegian Fjords cruises on July 30 and August 9, 2017 which will also include a visit to the Orkney Islands. On June 22 and July 4, 2017, Norwegian Jade departs Hamburg for two 12-night cruises to the North Cape including numerous highlights along Norway’s West Coast and on July 16, 2017 guests can experience a 14-night cruise visiting Bergen, Ålesund, the Shetland Islands, Akureyri and Reykjavik (overnight) in Iceland, the Orkney Islands as well as Invergordon (Inverness) and Newhaven (Edinburgh) in Scotland.

Although all of these cruises are not on the site, I was able to book them by calling NCL directly. I know for sure that the 9 and 10 night cruises are embarking and disembarking at Hamburg. Which one is embarking/disembarking from Southampton? I would prefer to start/end in Southampton, but did not believe that was an option.

  6. If you call in to the US NCL booking line, they are able to book all the Jade European cruises noted in the Jan. 26th press release.

Hamburg is the home port for the Jade while in Europe. Which is too bad, as I preferred the Norway Fjord cruises that used Copenhagen as the home port.

  7. The bed in the master is a queen that is wedged into a cubbie area. It cannot be separated as it is one mattress and due to tight area it fits. The master is essentially a cubbie with a curtain you can draw to separate it from the master bath. We never drew the curtain, but instead closed the bathroom door, as it becomes a tiny windowless cube with the curtain drawn.

The sleeping options in the two bedroom are: a wall hanging bed in the 2nd, a double pull out couch in the 2nd, a pull out couch in the living room, and a queen in the master. You can have both the wall bed and the couch bed out at the same time in the 2nd.

One bathroom is in the master, but can blocked off by closing the master cubbie curtain. The other bathroom is in the second bedroom, but with its own door.

    Hope that answered your question.

  8. We went their with our boys when they were 2.5 years old and 10 months old. They just got a small size of the adult options at no charge. They did not have an issue with the noise or fire, and the entertainment kept them focused and polite.

The above being said, I would not recommend going there due to your son's allergies. It is one cooking station and butter is used.

  9. The news release said the NCL Jade European cruises in May - September 2017 would be out on Feb. 9th for Latitude members. However, it still isn't out yet.

Any word on when it will be out and the reason for the delay? We're hoping to book for the July 14 day cruise.
