My passport expires in August but my cruise is in January

Thanks for sharing. What is needed for a new passport other than $,old passport and new picture?

Vista is going to Galveston and the Horizon is staying in Miami along with the Magic

I was able to price match my Jan. 2018 Breeze cruise today. I've saved $10 and added $100 in obc to my booking I made while on the Glory last year. Now I have $200 in obc!

I don't like the new site. I was looking at a short cruise tied in with a week long cruise and the site kept freezing before I could price both cruises. I used to do this with no problems on the old site. Maybe they should invest some of the money all the cutbacks in their IT department

Port Canaveral would be my choice if driving. Now I have to fly since I moved away from Florida and I've noticed Orlando is more expensive to fly into and cruise out of.

I don't plan on sailing on the horizon for a few reasons. First is the vista, her sister ship has a ton of negative reviews. Second, the ship seems to be more kid friendly. The only picture I've seen is the dr Seuss kid water park. Kids running and yelling isn't my idea of relaxing so I'll pass.

You are given options for excursions that might take some time to get to that you couldn't do before. I think the swimming with the whales was one and some other excursions got extended time or they lasted longer.

And the economy has bounced back and more people are cruising.

What about in room liquor purchases? Are they delivered on the first day or second?

I wonder if the beards thought about how many people book while on board because they are having a great time and on vacation. It's easy to want to be on vacation more and book a future cruise. People might be less likely to book from home once the financial reality of their vacation hits.

I'm a big fan of your reviews and I'm looking forward to this one since I'm not sailing again until January. Thank you in advance for all the time and effort that you will put into this review. It is greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for 100% certainty but that won't but Glory started early because they are redoing the slides. The Breeze shouldn't so I doubt you will have 4 or more weeks of dry dock work. Pig and anchor shouldn't need to many if any structural changes. Maybe add a wall or door or something. I think you will be ok

Probably to read reviews to see if they want to try the ship. I've read other boards to see what people say about the ships on other lines that I'm interested in.

Maybe the Horizon spends more time in Ny and comes down, to Miami in September. I'm sure Carnival will move the Horizon to Miami the second that the Vista is gone. Then maybe the dream to the west coast in 2019 and the Magic to NOLA, Breeze to Miami. Put the Horizon at Port Canaveral when the vista 3 gets here in 2019. then move the Breeze to FLL in 2020 when the mega class ship gets to Miami in 2020 and the Glory to San Juan. Just my guess

Cruise ships sail at capacity all Sumer so there won't be a time when one is less crowded than the other. The 4th of July sailing will cost you a good bit more than a cruise in August, but airfare might be your deciding factor.

A lot of people have given great advice. I just want to add that final payment is 75 days from your sail date.

You would need to do my time dining for dessert only or have late dinner seating because Carnival is now asking people who show up 30 or more minutes late to go to the dining options.

I have a feeling those will get posted after they announce the Horizon

All the Dream class and vista class ships are getting pig and anchor so I'm sure that's one of the changes. I've heard Alchemy bar as well. I assume they will replace carpet where needed, tile if needed, repaint, and bedding. I'm sure there is more. I've heard the cruise before is one to avoid because they bring supplies for dry dock on during that cruise and sometimes start work early.

I would think you might hear noises from them cooking and setting up the buffet. I think the scrapping sounds are the chairs by the pool.
