Spent some time catching up. Now it's board game time.

I haven't dwelled on it. It was a rougher crowd on the third week. I'll go into more detail on the wrap up.

Just got word M is here at 126. Heading to the lobby to help her get moved in.

It's 115 and M is still on the shuttle to the port. Looks like I was right after all about closer 2 😀

Visually I liked the whole cake on display at the front. But for practical purposes it makes sense for the cake slices to be up where people can grab them.

Wifi is live but in a cruel turn of events...cell data went down again. I wonder if the two are somehow related. Grabbed a few lunch buffet photos before everyone boarded.

Two theories on the delayed clearance from border control. We had at least one person arrested onboard. I know this because it was just down from my room. Security was outside their room 24/7 for the last day and a half of the cruise. We also never transferred the person we rescued at sea. Likely because it was not safe in the w weather we were sailing through. They would have needed to be processed when we arrived in Miami.

Lunch today was Italian. Went with butter sauce today. Was good but I like a saucier sauce, so will stick with bolognese and Alfredo. Funfetti for dessert. I will probably make myself a salad when M gets here since she will probably want to grab some lunch.

Been talking to M she said weather is not great but the drive was not too bad. In another surprise turn of events she is almost here. She is at her offsite parking garage now. Not going to make 1230, but since I put money on closer to 2, if she makes it by 115, I've already lost my first wager of the cruise.

Stuart has already been here. Wifi is not working yet but in a surprise turn of events, my data on my cell phone is working. Painfully slow, but this progress after going round and round with them for the last month.

Heading back on at 1114. Wedding party already lined up just waiting on us to board and they will follow. They should make that 1130 goal after all.

Almost made it. Cbp said shut it down so we are in a holding pattern again.

They just announced boarding will begin at 1130. It's doubtful.

Yea. Two hours late getting started. They have made up some time. But we are at the mercy of customs now.

Yea...we are not going anywhere for a while.

Maybe...they are still processing people off. We may be sitting in the terminal for a while.

Getting ready to head off at 1035. They did a great job getting back on track time wise.

Definitely a challenging day for everyone onboard on a perfect day. I think officially they strip the bed but sometimes that does not happen. Stewart this week has been really on top of things so it will probably be done. I am definitely ok with him getting to it whenever he can, I know he's got a lot of cabins to turn over by 130.

It's escalated from stress to panic...says there will be a operational test of the elevators at 1030 and they will be shut down. Seems like a good idea to postpone the test unless there is a statutory requirement to do so today. Or he could just be saying that to panic people into getting off the ship.

Last call at 1008...you can hear the stress in his voice as he makes his announcements this morning.

Talked to M at 9, she wanted to know if the ship was here. She saw some news report yesterday that ships were being canceled. You know how the news is. Coincidentally we were delayed but had nothing to do with weather. I have two theories but I'll discuss that later. Anyway, I told her we were here and she said ok I'm getting up...and packing. She's giving even me a run for my money for best last minute packer. She's about two hours away, so my original guesstimate of closer to 2 than 1230 arrival checks out so far.
