Sailing past Encore. I thought I was crazy last time, but once again I could smell Portside BBQ coming from Oasis. If ships docked at the new Terminal AA dock this far inland, I am not sure how other ships will be able to pass? Seems close and MSC is always last to leave. I was really hoping we would have to turn around so we could sail by Serenade of the Seas back there. What an incredible journey they are starting today. Today is the start of their 9 month world cruise! Amazing!

Sail away party is in progress. My walk is done just in time as we are now pulling away. I head to the front of the ship to take in the sail away views. NCL Encore and Oasis of the Seas. Leaving Miami behind.

The rain held out and I was able to finish my walk without getting wet and as a bonus, it was cooler than earlier thanks to the clouds. Even if it had been raining, my view was better than those stuck in that traffic down there. Fueling barge wrapping up their day. Regent ship docked across the way. Definitely some kind of work going on at terminal E, but I did see a Crystal ship docked here last week.

Yes it did. A very light sprinkle when I first got out and then it stayed away. Sun didn't come back, but that helped keep the temperatures cooler so I was fine without the sunshine 😀

Nap was a success and I even woke up on my own just before the safety announcements started and woke me. Getting back on the track and checking out sail away once that starts up.

Going to try for a nap. A bit of a good news bad news situation here. The bed is perfect. It's one of those wrap you in a hug beds that I love so much. Bad news is I must be right by the hallway speaker because I could hear the announcement perfectly even with a fan on. And we have a tender port so lots of early am announcements yuk. Very happy with this bed though. Maybe I will be so comfortable I can sleep through the noise.

Took care of some business while I had cell service and got my first mile in on the track. Now I'm back in the room and all caught up. B2B goodies waiting in the room.

Took care of muster and by now boarding was in full swing so although I was tempted by Mongolian Wok, I made a salad and headed up to the pasta bar for lunch. They brought bread before I could wave it off. That was actually pretty good. Pasta. Funfetti cheesecake for dessert.

Just in case they are the good stuff,, and since my room was ready...I went ahead and got the fridge stocked. They were practically begging us to take more. Sounds like oj to me, but I have done B2B before where we could help ourselves to the good stuff so maybe.

Got my picture taken. Got in line for maybe mimosas. The crew said it was just orange juice. It has something carbonated so if it's not alcoholic it has sparkling cider. The kids were helping themselves so it could be, that would be unfortunate if mimosas have been eliminated. My room was ready for me and I met Stuart already. I really appreciate the little things like having my cabin ready. I am sure even with 32 rooms I am probably his only B2B so I was appreciative of the extra effort. Those are the kind of things that warrant an extra envelope at the end of the trip, so far that has not happened for Stuart one or Stuart two. Third times the charm?

I decided to be patient with the internet switch over this week so I didn't get myself locked out again. Took a few minutes but I made it back successfully. At lunch now, will get caught up in a few.

At Ocean Plaza for drinks and pictures. I just realized my picture was never delivered last week.

Luckily I'm a local so have no experience, but maybe someone else here will have an experience to share.

They have restarted, but they are still on self assist, no luggage tags have been called yet at 853.

Debarcation has been paused...backup in the terminal. Makes me wonder if facial recognition is down as Miami usually moves this process pretty quickly. Dropped my luggage off. I asked new Stuart if it was ok and he said it was fine. I guess that's who I talked to, when I was leaving I saw another Stuart in the hall so I hope I talked to the right person and my bags don't end up at lost and found 😀. My bed is already made, and in the right configuration 👍. At the meeting point now. Got my new card and just waiting on zero count. Might take a while if the terminal is backed up.
