Good morning. I used to be unsure if I preferred the two sea days at the front or the back. I've definitely landed on team front. That last sea day you are really hit with the reality the cruise is concluding. This is two days of that.

At the Christmas show tonight they brought a number of crew onto the stage while the playlist cast sang silent night and it suddenly hit me right in the feels the sacrifice these folks are making thousands of miles from their families during the holidays. Then my allergies started acting up 😭

That's what it seems like. I guess it's been opening for a small window each day and I never thought to go check back because the signing has been updated each day when I stopped by to try something. Went a little out of my way and got my bloody mary from the casino bar to avoid tropicale bar. I wanted to try some new drinks this week but I'm getting tired of sweet drinks and I'm too much of a lightweight to handle tasting the alcohol.

Splitting my gym time I to two sessions so u can make the Christmas shows. Here 40 minutes early and there is plenty of seating but none left that qualify as comfortable and good view. I found a decently comfy spot in the corner that will do.

Stopped off first for an empenada from Java blue. Just amazing. Highly recommend.

Thanks for following along 😀 I haven't priced O in a while but we are talking 2-2.5k pp for 7 days and regent wants double that. That is way way more than I could drop for a week even if the experience may be worth it.

App was updated to say street eats would be open from 2-4. I guess that's why the signing goes up everyday, they must open for a small window when they can. Wish I had been paying attention for that. Quattro queso fries.

Another thing to keep in mind, if a sailing is not selling they can lower the price and watch everyone paying attention price match and lose that revenue. Or they can target offers to specific people with a history of spending money in the casino and try to fill it that way before taking the hit to revenue from the general population. Win-win for Carnival. Yes, it is a gamble. But I think most people know in the long run, the house always wins in gambling. Right?

Lmao. Talk to a casino host sometime. They will proudly confirm on any given sailing over 50% of onboard revenue comes from the casino. An event cruise that number can be 70-80%. If your sign and sail bill plus cruise fare combined is not a 1 with at least four zeros behind it, you are the real freeloader to the bean counters. Freeloader. Hilarious.
