This may be a dumb question but do we need to bring our passports off the ship with us? We aren't planning any water/beach excursions so that's not an issue.
Also why does everyone avoid against bringing or phones? Again we won't be doing anything with water and would probably want our phones to take pictures or video.

Anyone know much about the empress? I can't find much information.

We are limited with the amount of time we can be away so a 7 night cruise won't work.
We already have our flights to Florida. That's not an issue for us. The 2 cruises I mentioned (the one on carnival we are booked on and the one on the rcl) are the 2 that fit when we can go and what we want to spend.
I should add that it's just me and hubby going for a much needed adult vacation. We don't mind a a younger crowd that likes to party a bit as we plan on letting out hair down too lol.

So for a first cruise we are booked on the victory in a balcony cabin for 4 nights to the Bahamas in July. But I've noticed we could do five nights in an inside cabin on the empress of the seas stopping in caymans and key west, for about the same price. I can't decide which to do.
Only stipulation by my husband is that hey gets one day golfing. If we go on the victory we will be in Orlando 2 nights before so he can get a game in. If we do the empress I'm thinking he would need to golf on a port day.
Anyone have any input? I can't decide

Anyone know approximately how much a taxi from the cruise port to the key west golf club would be?
