A few years ago we stayed at the Raddison and enjoyed the pool area as well as the room.  We also walked next door for supper.  Our ride to the port was timely.

We went to the Blue Lagoon & did the Dolphin Excursion.  The time in the boat was over

one/half hour.  It was worth it to us as we had one hour of beach time.  The dolphins were

amazing.

We took a bus tour of the island- saw 2/3 of it!  Stopped three times.  Aloe Factory, Casabiri Rocks, and the new natural bridge.

Then we ate lunch on the ship and then took a taxi to Palm Beach for a light dinner

and casino time.

Ardastra Gardens and Zoo are well worth the entrance fee.!

A second vote for Blue Bay.  Pick up time is important.

The trolley tour sounds good for people who don;t walk alot.

We took the Beach Express from Holland a few years ago and went to Blue Bay.

The Beach Express is a great way to travel as they pick you up. 

Cas Abao is a good beach also.

There is alot to do in nassau.  We bought a day pass for a hotel on Cable Beach.

Or you can go to Ardastra gardens and Zoo which is much cheaper.  Or you can walk around and see the sites for free.  If you want something different try the Blue Lagoon.

Most places have a website with prices etc.

Our suggestion is to take a taxi to the Avila Beach Hotel

- have lunch there and walk back slowly to the center of town.  E-mail before you go.

Carlisle Beach is very nice- we took an excursion thru the ship and had a good day with

very little travel.  Bathrooms and changing rooms available.

We would take the cruise tour.

If one likes beaches, then the Bahamas are great.  Try Cable Beach resort.

The Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter was very good.  We had plenty of time

afterwards to enjoy the beach.

Check with Avila or Marriott about day passes or admittance fee.  E-mail them.

Check out British Colonial Hilton which is with in walking distance of the ships.

Hyatt Place is in a good location.

Have you tried the British Colonial Hilton?

Look at the prices of the Hyatt.  Location is good if it's the hotel near the port.

The beaches are very nice.  Lunch near the beach is good too.

Ardastra Gardens has a good website.

We like to stay at the Radisson as they have a good pool area and one can walk to restaurants.

We sign up for the shuttle to the cruise port when we arrive.

Most of the beaches are food included with a charge.

We like to stay in Port Canaveral the night before.

Then we feel relaxed and board early.

17th street is a good walking area with shops and restaurnats.
