My Horizon model is smaller than my Paradise Model.

I started collecting them on our fourth cruise.   I took a chance and went to the Roll Calls on here for the ships that I was missing.  I asked if anyone would be willing to buy a model for me and mail it to me.  I would pay them for the model, shipping and give them extra for their troubles.  Within a month, I had all three missing models.

Try the Roll calls for upcoming Vista cruises and ask if anyone would be willing to buy one for you if they are available.

Great idea ty! I will try that!

It is all super easy. They will send instructions to your cabin telling you exactly what to do.

If you have the same room for both legs, all you need is your passport/id and sail and sign card for customs. After everyone else has debarked, the group of back 2 back cruisers will be escorted off the ship by guest services, go through customs, and then take you right back onto the ship. They will give you a free drink in the atrium, snap a few group photos and then you are free to do what you want

  3. I take my family on cruises with carnival mostly because of their price. Could care less on achieving a level or what small benefits it brings. If an airline/cruise line/store/credit card meets your needs, then that should be enough. If you get something else from it great, but not at the cost of the original reason you chose that company. If you continue to sail with carnival just to achieve a status level, imo you will still be sadly disappointed.

  4. Having a hard time understanding this 'i paid to be here, so i can do as i wish ' attitude. There are all kinds of rules and guidelines on a ship. And just because you paid anything dont mean you get your own set.

And i agree, the guidlines for dinner goes for men and women.

  5. Special...clothes! Correct there is nothing special about clothes, except to the person that is wearing them. Isn't a wedding day for a bride quite often about the dress, clothes, etc. Sometimes the clothes do make a difference.

And she could choose a wedding in a barn or a grand church, but would you not wear appropriate clothing for the events, including if it was requested. Wouldn't you honour her wishes, or just wear what you want cause it's all about you?

  6. Sorry, I cringe when I see crap clothes in the MDR on formal nights. It's called "formal night" not "flip flop night". Now I don't care what you wear the other 22 hours of that day, but show some respect to the tradition. You should be embarrased to walk into a formal dining room dressed down.

I realize that standards have dropped, and for most men now "formal" is dockers and a worn polo shirt. What a sorry state of affairs. Suit up!

This is your night to shine, bring out your best. Ladies, how often do you get the chance to dress like a star and be treated like royalty? (And I guarantee that if you bring your "a" game, nothing is likely to be refused to you.)

The same goes for men, just put a little effort into it. (If all else fails, the crew at any Men's Wearhouse will set you up in a jiff.

Luggage a problem? Please. You drag it from the car to a porter and it shows up in your room. Luggage valets take even less effort.

You see, the point of bringing out your best is that you bring something to the party. I've seem some amazing outfits, traditional kimonos, authentic kilts, all kind of wonderful sartorial expressions. These people added to the night. I say bring back the glamour!

Don't be the bozo who shows up in shorts, if you refuse to play, the buffet is over there....

    Well said.

I respect others choice to wear what they wish, but the 'formal' nights are a chance to have a special night with your special someone! Yes times are changing, but not everything is for the better. The more we have 'informal' lives, and an out with the old attitude, it looks as each next generation is less able to communicate (in person) with few social skills. What's wrong with being able to be comfortable in all situations, depending what that situation is. I am able to enjoy a VERY casual meal. But can also easily fit into a formal gathering as well. I have met some of the best characters/people in my life from both ends of the spectrum.

Some are not comfortable, and can't switch between the two. That is fine. Many places to eat on a cruise. But if you attend a meal, it's because it interests you. (Don't think you can order a bacon cheese burger at a sushi place) and I assume you went there for fish! ( or to to impress a girl )

Sorry been drinking the red juice again 🍷

No more ranting here, I hope all enjoy your next cruise

  7. My two boys have been in camp ocean, two different times on different ships, one being breeze, in separate groups because of age. Both loved it, and we had to 'make' them come have some family time. They had so many stories of fun, and kids and activities each day. The camp staff were great, was the odd grumpy one, but how is that different anywhere else in life. They can't imagine not being in camp. As my youngest, 7, put it, we are too old and boring!

  8. I was always so obsessed with where our on board account was at, it would really get to me at times. I really like dheers. Some say its expensive, some say its not enough drinks.....i say it brings peace of mind. Will always puchase it, and looking forward to enjoying the new enhanced cheers in 34 days!!!

  9. Can you purchase beers once you have maxed out your cheers program for the day?

Once cheers is maxed for the day, you are not supposed to be able to purchase any more. Some cruisers have said they could, while others say they were not allowed. The official answer is the bartenders shouldn't let you, but maybe you will get lucky. Happy cruising

  10. Been in it. And on the same cruise took a tour of the galley. The cabin is under the end of the galley - :)but not the end where they wash dishes with the car wash sized washer. I never heard a thing.

    Thank you for the response!😃😃

  11. Lmao you all crack me up!

Bigger, smaller, more, less, my way is better, well if thats why you cruise, .........really you are all arguing about a fun way to travel period! Thats why it is good, it can and does meet everyones needs. Nothing is the same as in '64 or '84 or '04. If you have lived long enough you have experienced change and the effect time has on it. Is anyone surprised things are different from 50 years ago.

Just get on a cruise for whatever your reasons to cruise and sip a cold one! Cheers
