  1. I just returned from a cruise on Sunday....I went online to see what my new offers were.  There was a nice offer, funplay and onboard credit ...great, came back not 5 min later and that offer is not showing...has anyone had this happen.  It has happened a few time with me??

  2. I have 2 elite offers…one has 300 fun play and no once…The other Elite offer has no fun play and no obvious….why is there 2 different elite offers…has anyone done an elite…is there anything offered I don’t see

This is the recipe I googled:

    Carnival “FUN SHIP” drink recipe:

    Ingredients (Alcohol)

    •  1oz Vodka
    •  1oz Rum
    •  ½ oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur
    •  ½ oz Apricot Brandy

    Ingredients (Homemade “fruit punch”)

    •  1 oz Pineapple Juice
    •  1 oz Orange Juice
    •  ½ oz Lime Juice
    •  1 splash grenadine syrup
    •  Dash of bitters

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker (affiliate link) like the copper one used in our “how to” video or mason jar (affiliate link) with a tight lid and serve over ice!

Optional: instead of the above juices, you can substitute 3-6 ounces of store bought fruit punch, but it tastes SO much better made this way!

Is that recipe for one person…I ordered one years ago and there was hardly any alcohol in it…hope it’s changed…but I somehow doubt we would get 3 oz of alcohol in one drink!

    Hiya, folks.

I don't drink alcohol, and as I'm sure you all know, Carnival has a rep as a "Party Boat."

My concern is of course, can a none-drinker enjoy Carnival, or am I going to hate it because it's just a bunch of obnoxious, raucous partiers?

I'm not casting aspersions on anyone, you do you Boo... it's just not an environment I'd personally enjoy.

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

My brother quite drinking 15 years ago....and he has cruised 15 times on carnival since.  He has a great time......and he is a recovering alcoholic...Just avoid obnoxious drunks...

  5. Ok...well....we are platinum so we can get off first...we are only doing carry on so when we get to Ft. Lauderdale airport, we will have our boarding passes on our phone, so we can just go straight to security.  I think we will be ok, cross my fingers...

Back in September we cruised on Celebration.  We are platinum, so we have priority debarkation.  We were outside and waiting on our Lyft at 7:45.  We were through security at FLL and at our gate by 8:45 for our 11 am flight.

We are cruising on Magic this September and we have a 10:15 flight out of FLL on Southwest.  However, we will definitely have a backup plan in case there are unforeseen circumstances.  We will book another flight with a refundable fare on a different airline.  Wouldn't recommend booking a flight this early without a backup plan.

was your cruise on the celebration out of Miami?

You mentioned that you learned your lesson. Having a flight scheduled to land at MIA at 11:30a is asking for trouble with a capital T. I'd put the odds of missing the cruise at more than 10% the moment that flight was booked.

Actually I just looked back, it was 9:30....I have probably flown into Miami the day of my cruise at least 10 times and NEVER missed the ship, had lots of time but this last time....nope ....to close for me...always the day before now

  8. I am cruising out of Miami, but flying home out of Ft. Lauderdale.  What would be the earliest flight time out of Ft. Lauderdale should I make.  I can't miss the flight out of Ft. Lauderdale,  but getting there from port of Miami, TIA

  9. Same thing happened to us....we were supposed to land in Miami  at 11:30.....flight delayed, delayed, delayed, arrived in Miami at 2:15.  had to get luggage and grab a cab, literally the LAST ONES on the ship, they closed the doors behind us.  Lesson learned, go the day before., mind you, I actually didn't expect anything different from Air Canada, they actually won first place for the airline being late the most.  Congrats Air Canada, you lost another client.  I'd rather hop skip and jump the day before my cruise, than rely on Air Canada with a direct flight.  They are the WORST AIRLINE
