  1. We have airline employee flight benefits so usually book directly, but I decided to compare those rates with EZair for our upcoming cruise. Incredibly, the price through Princess was almost exactly the same as what we would pay using our discount. Unlike booking directly with the lowest fare, we are able to select our seats and change or cancel our plans anytime up to 45 days before the flight without consequence. I have used EZair before but really didn't remember it being so great!

I do see that baggage fees are not included, so we will be paying ~$40 each for that. Even so, this pricing is incredibly competitive. I don't believe a regular (non-discounted) direct fare would come close to comparing with what I'm seeing in EZair, at least for our travel dates.

It's been years since I used this service so if anyone has advice on potential issues, I'd appreciate it. I'm really impressed with the EZ 😆 of it so far!

On the Ruby in April and missing several items. They said they were out of them and removed it from our casual meal allotment

I can see it not having items if they ran out, and it's good that they didn't charge it to your allotment. I don't believe that Princess is intentionally serving Wine Bar Bites without cheese on any ship.

  3. There is a nice casual offering in Vines (see photo) but it's only available during a limited window each day, something like 3PM-8PM. Alfredo's is another casual option that we enjoyed several times. On a side note: I recommend bringing a bottle of wine to enjoy at sail away because they will not honor your Premier package until the ship hits international waters. You will get a $25 OBC as compensation.

  4. Interesting to read the different opinions and preferences from everyone about videos.

Over the years I have learned not to post links to my channel here, even non-vlog content that is direct and as to-the-point as I can be. Those posts usually receive self-promotion accusations and eventually get deleted.

I hate background music, unless its whats actually playing in the scene.

Creators often add background music to cover up copyrighted content in the original audio.

  5. I will have to watch the walkthrough video to confirm, but someone posted on FB that they were not happy to find that all Sanctuary seats on the Sun are .... in the sun. I want shade 100% of the time so will be quite disappointed if I can't have a seat under cover somewhere for whatever the price may be.

Which is why we always take the plus package instead of the premier. An extra $40 per day for 2 on a 16 day cruise really doesn’t cut it

They send me some pretty fantastic offers but I always have to add $120 per day to the price because I really don't think it's worth sailing without a package these days. But the longer cruises just get so expensive without much return. I am sticking with 7 day trips for now to get the most for my money.

    Exactly!

Here in Canada smoking laws are very, very strict.  No smoking anywhere in public both  indoors or outdoors.  Basically, you can only smoke on your own property.

That's a huge change from when I was a kid and visited Canada; I remember people smoking while waiting for elevators at our hotel. America had already banned smoking indoors but we had culture shock that Canada was behind the times. More recently, while staying in Vancouver before a cruise, I was surprised to see so many people smoking marijuana while walking outside. Again, it had already been legalized in my state (Washington) but we still didn't (don't) have people doing it out in public.

Texas law does not stipulate a limited menu. It does stipulate that alcohol sold in Texas (including Texas waters) must be be bought from Texas wholesalers and have Texas excise tax paid on it.  Cruiselines choose to serve a limited drink menu in Texas waters to minimize the amount on Texas-purchased alcohol they have to buy and stock.

CCL is not the parent company of Princess. Carnival Cruise Line and Princess are both subsidiaries of Carnival Corporation.

I trust you were able to deduce my point from my apparently flawed commentary. Cheers! (CCL is the ticker symbol.)

So Tweetie if I understand right, even IF we have the Premier package, we cannot even order soda on the ship, while in TX, right?

Correct - we were told the only thing they could serve us without charge was water. They will sell you a soda and tell you that the $25 onboard credit for the "inconvenience" of sailing out of Galveston should make up for it. I am honestly surprised they haven't changed this policy since November when I was onboard.

Again, this was coming from multiple people that stated their experiences on RC which I have not personally experienced.

Why the difference between lines?  I can only speculate.

I have been on many sailings out of Galveston on RC and can confirm that the drink packages work from the moment of boarding - they do have a limited menu which is what Texas law does actually stipulate. Princess has made up their own rules, that don't even align with what their parent company CCL does in the same waters.

A couple of cruises are showing up on my site this morning…could be different offers for different people though.

    Fiji/S Pacific 13 day $67

    morocco/Iberian Passage 16 day $135

I am moving on from the Sun offer to others and the Iberian is still showing as available. I guess people snapped up those interior cabins on the Sun very quickly - not surprising!

Might be  a scam BUT it appears to be a casino offer. If so, your PVP will not know anything about it.

You need to call the casino department.

not  sure but I think it is 888-772-6697

Thank you - I will call the casino in the AM....I don't think there will be any sleep between now and then!
