  1. I've done them both with 8 and 10 year old daughters. The Vista is great but the Seaside blows it away. I just got off the Seaside today. Our balcony cabin was fine. Very nice and clean. Storage could have been better but we pack heavy for four. They both have charges for activities like the Imax and Thrill theatre and the zipline ($5) and 5D theatre. Food was way way better on seaside. Guests are better on seaside, no loud trashy drunks on the Seaside. The extra costs for specialty dining and things is a bit higher on the Seaside. It won't make or break your cruise though. You have to choose if you want to sail with people from all over the world or your typical Carnival cruisers. The Seaside is just a better ship with better and classier everything.

  2. It’s not more than 15 going to Mr.Sanchos but close to 30 coming back due to traffic. So be prepared. Loved Mr.Sanchos, service is fantastic. Beautiful and clean. Very reasonable. You will enjoy. Thanks Maureen for this review! Thinking of changing from Carnival Horizon to this but not sure so this is very helpful!

  3. We've been to Nachi Cocom and its a lot of fun for the adults. Didn't see to many kids there last year. But this time, for our MSC cruise we are heading to Mr. Sanchos....its right next door. Does anyone know how long is the drive from where MSC docks to Mr. Sanchos ?? We're taking a taxi on our own, and need to make sure we have enough time back and forth. :D

  4. Yes...you should make with no problem. Ship docks around 6am or earlier .... Disembarkation started around 7..... we casually left ship at 7:45 after our 3/24 sailing and were in a cab to Airport by 8:15. FYI...we took cab to Miami Airport and rented a car for our drive to W Palm Beach Airport (65 miles away)....we were in the terminal checking our bags around 10am for an 11:45 am flight!! Similar process and time frame when we cruised on Carnival Vista in November!! Note...we were in YC....so if your not in YC...do self disembark or go to guest services and request a early number for disembarkation

I would love to hear your comparison of the vista to the msc seaside!!! Considering switching from lido balcony on Horizon in October to the MSC Seaside on a guaranteed balcony (thinking it will be Deck 9). Never been on MSC before and would love to get your feedback since you have done both!

  5. On vista this level is great ..now beware imax theater is below some interior. Some on the boards complained. But I stayed on balcony. Secret door out to lido. Ez walk to morning coffee or drinks. First to chairs. We lived at red frog area. Noise was not a factor.

Thanks, we’re balcony as well so do you remember where the secret door is? Lol, if it’s same on Horizon could prove useful.

  6. They don't offer any discounts on Carnival directly. Their Rewards for Good program (what teknoge3k is talking about) has Carnival gift cards for 10% off face value. You can get $100 Carnival card for $90 and $500 cards for $450. They can be used for pretty much everything Carnival. Paying for the cruise, buying things in the Fun Shops, Cheers, purchasing excursions, on board spending, etc. You can sign up for free, earn points through email promo codes and taking quizzes on their website, and cash in those points towards the purchase of the gift cards.

As for whether or not it's worth becoming a member, that's up to you. Check out their member benefits and discounts on their website to see if you'd find any of them useful. There's a lot of different kinds. I just joined a few weeks ago. I'm not even 50 yet, you don't have to be to take advantage of the discounts. It only cost me $12 for the first year by signing up for their automatic renewal, but I can cancel after the first year. We used it for our rental car for our June cruise and it saved us over $130. Plus hotel discounts. So well worth the initial $12. If we don't think we'll use it after that, we'll just cancel.

    Great to hear! Thank you!

  7. I’m onboard Horizon now, the Beverage managers says that squeezed OJ isn’t included in Cheers.

I have Cheers & was charged for fresh OJ.

How do you like the ship? Is this the first sailing?

  8. We've been looking, but havent seen any yet (or else we're not invited)

They just finished the Premier cruise offer the other day, so perhaps soon since they don't show any offers to us yet. :D:D:D

Thanks, same here. I was expecting something since we cruised in January on a premiere that qualified for Ultra in the Fall.

  9. Hope everyone has a great experience on their cruises. It is very nice to spend a week with a crew that absolutely seemed thrilled to be there. I can't count the number of times crew came up to me and sometimes even in very broken english asked where I was from and if I was having a good time. I know this is great training but most of it seemed very sincere. Also want to point out that guest services was the best I have ever been exposed to. Quick and very professional . They explained my charges and what would happen next (credits). I really like these guys!

Great review again, thx for this! Do you know if there was anyplace to catch a football game? Didn’t see a sportsbar but might have missed it

  10. My husband and I did a premier cruise on Conquest in Nov 2017 and the casino cash was not given to us as cash money. The casino placed the play money in our casino bank and we had to play it in the casino only. Anyone else experience this?

They told me that this is how our casino cash will be handled next week. Were you able to withdraw anything?

I called about this for my premiere next week and they said this is how it will be handled as well. Were you able to withdraw from it or were you forced to lose it all?
