. I remember thinking "imagine what Disney could do with this space"! Royal does a parade in the Promenade. I imagine Disney could do a spectacular parade!
.
Maybe they’ll have a promenade-style area on one of the new ships?

I have a Hyatt house reservation that is confirmed with the hotel for Jan 14. We are traveling with another confirmed party as well... but now this post has me worried. Hmmm.

Just off the Celebrity Summit this morning, self embarked at 7:10 am, was at the Airport at 7:35 am, waited for American Airlines to open checked baggage at 8:00 am.
Wow! That’s fast. Thanks for the info :)

Hyatt House, and they said that their “rates and availability sometimes change”. I was (still am!) irritated; however, looks like most hotels at charging similar rates for that 1 night.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I decided to go ahead and change my hotel reservation to one night only so that we can still spend a little time in SJ.
(In other news, when I changed my ressie, the hotel nearly doubled my nightly rate!!)

Related question is it possible to make a 10;45 AM fight out of San Juan airport after docking. We’re on Jewel of the seas in February. How long time wise is the airport away.
My travel agent actually told me not to attempt a flight earlier than 11:30, but I only have her guidance to go on. Would be great to hear someone who did an earlier flight and made it.

We hired a driver (out of Falmouth) and he took our group of 10 to Dunn’s River. We did the falls on our own, not as part of a tour group and we had a great time.

Hi All-
I am on a repositioning cruise that ends in San Juan on Jan 14. We are considering cancelling our hotel reservations for a myriad of reasons, but if we do, I have a few questions.
How easy is it to get a can from the cruise terminal to the airport?
Looks like flights are limited right now, and 4pm is the earliest flight available on our preferred airline (we already have tickets for the 16th, but may move them to the 14th, so limited to flying SW). Are there any options for luggage storage that might allow us to enjoy the city a bit before heading to the airport? I would really love to explore OSJ.
Any advice or experience welcomed.

I'm in the minority here, but I LOVE an excellent dining experience and actually live in a UNESCO World Heritage City of Gastronomy so fine dining is something we are accustomed to, and we don't have to pay an arm and leg for. Anyway, Remy was delicious, service was outstanding, and we loved it, but I doubt we would do dinner again. It was just too long, too filling, too quiet and too expensive. That said, I want to do their brunch at some point, as well as the desert experience.

Hi Lesal- I thought about it, but by the time I booked it, the 4-day was more expensive than the 5-day and so on principle alone, I couldn't do it [emoji6]

Thanks ladies. We will fly to Houston, not sure which airport yet. I'm hoping to spend 1-2 days pre cruise in Galveston, and have some ideas about hotels already.
We always have trip insurance, so those travel delays are crappy but at least we are covered as far as expenses. We ended up with a MAJOR delay last ear due to hurricane Matthew, spent an extra day on the ship (no complaints there!!) and two additional days in Orlando due to cancelled and full flights. Ins covered everything, thankfully!

Thanks Moki's Mom- this is helpful. I'm just looking for others experiences so I can get an idea of what has/hasn't worked for others, which can give me a frame of reference for planning. Also, I sometimes love to borrow great ideas from fellow cruisers [emoji4]

Hi Everyone!
We are cruising out of Galveston in January on the repositioning cruise to San Juan. I am excited, but have some trepidation as I've only done 7 days and I'm worried this cruise will feel too short. I'm optimistic about the 3 sea days though [emoji4]
Anyway, is there anything I should know about cruising out of Galveston? We've done Long Beach and PC, so this is another first for us.

Hi All- if we hire a driver, is there enough time to do the Green Grotto, lunch, AND Blue Hole, if we are in Jamaica for 8 hours?

Good Morning!
We will be in San Juan this January on the Disney Wonder, and will spend the night after disembarking. I am considering Sheraton OSJ, but check in isn't until 4pm. Has anyone here had experience leaving luggage at the hotel, exploring for the day, then coming back to check in at the appropriate time?
We don't need the room right away, just a place to leave our stuff.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone. We ended up booking with Captain Marvins instead of doing something on our own. We had a great time at Stingray City and the Coral Garden!

I was able to book my Ensenada excursion through the website. I tried on the app, but it would t allow me to finish the booking for some reason. The excursions seemed to be a little limited for our upcoming October cruise tbh.
