We travel with someone who has a pacemaker and can't go through x-ray. He just tells security and they take him to the side and do a quick manual search.

Holy crap that sounds expensive... but that all depends which port and where you're flying in from.
Typically you can do better on your own though... that's what I've always found.
Over $1,000 for two people, MIlwaukee to Miami. We alway fly Southwest Milwaukee to FLL, nonstop. There are no nonstops Milwaukee to Miami.

Was your air free? If so... why have it removed?
My air is free... I dropped the optional transfers and got them to give me the flight to arrive the day before for free (through Amex). Maybe I'm paying taxes on it or something? If so... can't be that much.
I just figured if I didn't like the air I'd make changes directly through the airline by paying the change fee. If that wasn't an option, I'll arrange my own air. Either way... if it's free I don't see any reason to remove it.
It wasn't free. It was over $1,000 for two people!

I called the general number and had the air and transfers removed. I also realized that there was travel protection on the reservation that I did not approve. I had that removed, no problem. It makes me uncomfortable that my cruise consultant is not being honest with me.

Far from final payment. I was wondering if he was waiting to pass a deadline for credit. This doesn't make me happy with him. Thank you.

I let my cruise consultant talk me into adding air to my reservation. I want to drop it from the reservation now and it's been a week and it's still there. He said that he has to contact the help desk and it takes a long time since the software update. Has anyone else had this happen? Should he be able to just cancel the "perk"?

We loved the Getaway too :D

We watched the fireworks from our balcony cabin 9130 on the Getaway. We had a great view!

We had a fantastic time on the Getaway, our first "big" ship.
We liked Spice H2O, the free adults only sundeck area.
We loved the variety of entertainment on this ship.
The Waterfront was a highlight. We often sat outside at night and enjoyed a drink. We also ate dinner on the Waterfront at LaCucina.
We had an excellent dinner at LeBistro.
We enjoyed the band Tropical Four in the Atrium. Especially their Bob Marley set. Grab some wings and a beer at O'Sheehans and listen to the band a deck below.
Definitely reserve your shows ahead of time. We tried to get into the 9 pm Comedy Show at Headliners a couple of times without a reservation but couldn't get in. I think you could get into the Grammy experience without a reservation.
Enjoy!

You pay for Vibe by the week and passes sell out fast.
Spice is much more quiet and relaxing than the main pool area. We liked the location of Spice near the Flamingo Grill. They put relaxing scenes on the big screen in Spice during the day. We were always able to find chairs in Spice and there is bar service. Also, the music was much more relaxing in Spice than what we heard at the pool.
Spice was fine for us...I don't think we would pay extra for Vibe.

We have never ordered room service.

I just finished packing....we leave tomorrow. I have really cut back on what I bring because I hate washing it all when I get home!
We are going to the Caribbean so we will wear swim suits most of the time during the day.
You don't get "dirty" in the evening. You really can wear something twice. Nobody will notice.
The air conditioning can be cold. A sweater or some kind wrap is essential for me. Eddie Bauer sells some nice "Travelex" wrinkle resistant travel clothes.
You don't need a different pair of shoes for every outfit.
I know I've still over packed but my suitcases aren't nearly full...I'm wondering what I forgot:confused:
I guess we'll have to keep cruising so I can get this packing thing down right!
