Thank you! These guides are great. We booked the 12 night Italy intense for 2019. It's a long way off, but I'm dreaming about it. I love your intensive itineraries! I have been looking for something like it for Italy for a while and I'm so glad I found it.

I'm so very concerned for FL and everyone in the path of this monster. I have so many friends and family in south FL being affected. I'm sitting here crying for you all. Be safe, my prayers are with you. We lived through Sandy at our shore house in southern NJ and it sounds like a walk in park compared to Irma.
Oh my, i'm crying watching this webcam. How horrible. Prayers for those in the path.

So nice to hear such great things about Celebrity and Millie! I really am looking forward to the Asia cruise and have already made some great friends on the roll call. Always a little nervous about the unknown though. So just love hearing about the ship and looking at any pictures I can find.
We are also used to large suites on Royal. Just off a Freedom Presidential Family Suite, prior sailings in owners suite on Allure and 2 bedroom Aqua theater suite on Oasis. Smallest suite we have had in many years was a grand suite on Anthem. I'm trying to get myself geared up for a "normal" size sky suite on Millie, lol. Not being a snob, I'm not at all like that. I just like to be prepared.
I think I will like the smaller more refined atmosphere, just something I'm not accustomed to.:)
Thanks again for all the great info.

Thanks for posting. We have been loyal to Royal until now, and will be sailing Millie in Asia in April. We are Diamond and have sailed all the classes on Royal, and love the ships, so I admit I'm a bit nervous about sailing a new line on an older ship. But the itinerary is what hooked me. So, I'm looking forward to your impressions as you sail through the week. Thanks. Laura

I just made a new booking for 2019 a little over a week ago. We are in a spa suite. I got $300 per person OBC. I don't know about existing bookings.

I just did the Norway cruise. nothing like watching it go from the tub when you are getting ready for dinner.Oh there a drawers in the bathroom but not great for folded clothes. plus storage in he toilet room. i use it for back stock if more than one cruise. But again not fro clothes
Thanks for the tips Robin. I'm pretty creative with storage. I also pack with travel organizers, my great new find after an active trip to Alaska. So I think they will help if I have some shelves to put them on. And yes that tub and shower look divine. Anything else you think of please pass my way. Glad to have a spa suite veteran providing info. :)

Welcome transam84!
The 12-night Italy Intensive voyage is such a great itinerary. I know you'll love it, and our new Club Spa Suite as well.
Thanks Bonnie! Looking forward to it and many interesting conversations here.

And I agree, Azamara is the way to go in SE Asia. I've heard it can take 2+ hours each way to get from the port where larger ships must doc into Bangkok.
Cheryl
Good point and very true. I see that Azamara has a definite benefit, and being a small ship for Europe or Asia will be great.

I have stayed in the spa suite 7 times and have more booked. there are 4 closets but not enough folded clothes space in cabin. the shower has 7 jets or hand held. taking a bath and watching the world go by is great. once in a while the crew door is loud. one cruise it was loud and i mention to the spa manager she called and had it fixed. needed to be adjusted. a trick if you need ice during the day. instead of calling the butler who bring it. take the ice bucket to the pool bar which takes minutes. less time than the butler can get it.
not done the nights in private places yet.. but i enjoy my my spa credit very much.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy the spa suite and noise is not a problem. We also enjoy the spa when we sail so the credit will be well used. The bathroom sounds fabulous. Reason I booked this suite over others. I'm very excited to sail Azamara in this suite!

Thanks for the tip, I will look at Azamara Asia cruises.

Hi Everyone, Thought I would pop in and introduce myself. I'm Laura and I'm a loyal to Royal cruiser...until recently anyway. I'm Diamond on Royal and so I'm glad I can keep my brand status. Next year I'm trying Celebrity Millie to Asia, and in 2019 I've decided to take another step and try Azamara. I just booked 21-Sept-2019 Italy Intensive Cruise in a Club Spa Suite - 9000 on the Journey. I have been wanting to go back to Italy and love the intensive itinerary! I'm so excited about the spa suite! It sounds azamazing! Anyone who has stayed in one of these two suites and has pictures or info to share with me I would be most grateful. I have a little concern the cabin might be a bit noisey, but it is so beautiful and I love all the perks. Also anyone who has done "nights in private places" and has info, advice, or pictures to share I would also love it. It also sounds azamazing! Looking forward to chatting with you all and sailing Azamara!

I price it out both ways. For international flights with different arrival and departure cities I have found Choice air (old name) to be very competive and often cheaper, especially first or business. I just got business class for my Asia 2018 cruise, direct flights for same price as united direct. So I went with celebrity. I like having it all connected to my reservation for cruise. And I still get points and same elite benefits with a United. So I just go with better fare and all things being equal I go with celebrity air. Just my two cents.

Chezmarylou please post your review when you get back.
Transam84 - They keep up on a the ship alot. I noticed them painting the outside of the ship. We were docked next to a princess ship who needed to be painted, while Millie shined bright.
Charlie
Good to know. I am now even more excited. I really appreciate your reassurance.

I want to go back to Alaska also. Maybe in 2020. Asia? That sounds like fun.
Charlie
Yes Asia! Very excited. We have a friend who lives in Kobe so I was very excited to see Millie stopping there overnight on 1April cruise. Been a little concerned about her age, but from recent posts she sounds in fine shape. Thanks again for your review.

Thanks for your great review. We just got back from Alaska and loved it. Planning on going back in 2019 after our Asia cruise on Millie in 2018. Happy to hear you had a good experience on the ship.

Thank you so much for your review. We just come back from a land vacation to Alaska and visited a few of the places you have pictured. We actually stayed in Seward for 4 days and loved it. Your pictures made me smile.
More importantly, we will be on Millie for 2 weeks starting April 1, 2018 Shanghai to Tokyo. Having never sailed Celebrity, and after reading some very mixed reviews of Millie, I've been concerned. So I'm happy to see some very nice pictures of the ship. I appreciate you providing such a nice overview. The ship looks nice and in good condition. Certainly not glitzy like my Allure or Oasis Voyages but quite acceptable. The food looks quite nice too!
So thank you again for the memories of Alaska and great pictures of the ship.

I totally agree with those that are saying it looks like two70 on RCCL. It was my first and overwhelming reaction. It sounds like two70 with Wonderland added in. Seems a bit over the top to me. I actually love two70 and are one of those crazy people that love the quantum class. Was on the ill fated hurricane in Feb out of NJ on Anthem and loved the ship. That being said, I'm concerned Celebrity is trying too hard with this ship. I am anxious to see the Edge, have a reservation and will keep an open mind. But the Eden seems like a strange version of two70. We shall see...

Yes stayed twice. It is a nice, clean Marriott quality hotel BUT if you stay on a Saturday night beware rooms on the left side if you are facing the water have a VERY VERY LOUD club next door. Now not just a little disturbance but so loud I could not stand to be in room and we were on the 9th floor. I slept in the lobby it was so bad. They didn't really seem to care, said Hotel was full so I could not move, said they could not do anything as the club has a permit for music. Well the club doesn't play music they BLAST music to the point of public disruption, I love Marriott, I'm a gold elite and vacation club owner, I'm not a very picky person, but this hotel on a weekend in unacceptable in my opinion. If you stay on a weekend ask for room on opposite side of this club. But you can't see the port from these. Good luck.

Agree with all the TG4 votes. Absolutely love mine. Great shots above and below water. Wifi a bit quirky to set up but I called support and they helped me and now it works like a charm. I have really tried to like the GoPro, but hated both that I bought and returned both. Just my personal opinion. I know lots of people love GoPro and that's cool, but not at all for me.

Thanks for the trip report and great pics. A whole bunch of friends and I are accompanying her on her 14 night Transatlantic journey to Barcelona on April 23rd, but not in the suite you had. Guess I need to start thinking about packing.
Enjoy the journey. I hope to do a transatlantic one day.

We booked this cruise for our spring break in 2018. Got a great deal... so good I was starting to wonder since it was $200+/pp less than comparable itineraries. Thanks for the review... this helps put my mind at ease!
I find I have gotten some great deals during March also, surprising but I'm not complaining. 😊

Freedom is my favorite ship and I will be back on it next year. I am wondering does Freedom still have Starbucks? There were some debate about this. I am wondering if the change coffee brand or if it is still Starbuck Coffee.

I did not see a Starbucks. I had the Royal replenish package and got cafe mocha every day in Cafe a Promenade. I loved it! My husband who hates flavored coffee tasted it and liked it too. I'm very happy with Cafe Promenade items. Not sure coffee brand but it was quite good in my opinion.
Maui Pineapple Plantation Tour
in Celebrity Cruises

We also did this tour when we were staying on Maui in May and loved it. They give you samples of pineapple that is so sweet and juicy, nothing like the stuff we get in NJ at the supermarket lol. It is also very interesting and educational. I highly recommend it.
