I booked pre cruise to get exact night and time we wanted (1st night for wine deal). Used onboard credit to book. Once onboard went to both guest services with our letter and steakhouse and got mixed confused looks on what to do.  At our dinner gave server our letter they came back and said manager said you prepaid so within 5-7 business your credit card used to book will be refunded. I tried to explain we used onboard credit so need that refunded. Planned to just call diamond desk when we finished cruise but before cruise was over we had the onboard credit reimbursement. For our next one we are waiting until the day we board to make reservation. Don’t forget to bring the letter with you.

Have fun…have accidentally booked spring break cruises and always an adventure. Will say your Cruise Director Amber is awesome!

If we're talking about the Spirit, it's a decent casino for the size of the ship. All of the table games are in the smoking section, although some of the tables had "no smoking" signs on them.

 

The non-smoking (or really, less smoke) section of the casino is separated by the main walkway that goes through the casino. The section to the right of the green line in the attached image is the non-smoking section. There's plenty of up-to-date slot machines, and a small bank of video poker/keno machines in both sections.

 

Drink service was generally good during my December cruise. However, the video poker machines in non-smoking next to Bonsai Sushi were farthest away from the service bar so it sometimes took a little while when I was playing there.

 

Looking forward to our first cruises out of Mobile…one mid October and then the infamous Halloween cruise a week later. Got two casino deals could not pass up. Any feedback on the casino layout? 

On our 23 day with many consecutive sea days the sea day brunch was every other day.  And as already mentioned different meal in MDR every night.

No but you could get another card from guest services and both play on one or the others.  I use my wife’s when she goes to bed to rack up points on hers and with Royal you can combine offers.

Have done it several times and did it again just last week ago.  As mentioned discuss with room steward and give them new cabin number even though they will get notified when delivering you back to back notice.  Also recommend debarking with back pack and pool clothes, books etc in case it does take a while for you bag to get transferred….has been instantly and sometimes had to go track down steward, or transfer bag my self after getting back on ship.  For me I pack pack cheap hangers and leave clothes on then for easy pack and unpack.  After our second cruise being a balcony have never gone back to interior….so I vote for balcony cabin.

I have two Ultra’s and in my opinion they are not worth the perks because they oversell them as with the Premiers. The casino is packed making difficult to get on desired tables and slots. 

We were tested on second to last day in the morning…fast and easy no charge.

Carnival just released one on the Splendor for September 6, 2022 from Seattle to Sydney.  Four ports in Hawaii and two in Fiji.  Just under 25 days.  

We just booked this yesterday and are really looking forward to it.  We’re already in Seattle for AK cruises so figured what the heck.

We cruised on the Dream out of Galveston Feb 2022 and had free drinks day 1 with no tax. Cruised on Valor out of NO this month and had free drinks day 1 but had to pay taxes.

1 day! Heading out on the Brilliance tomorrow.

It was our first time attending the festival and it was amazing we moved here from Tampa in June and love it.

We are doing Panama Canal 14 day Halloween cruise on the Dream 2022 and just bought clearance costumes…can’t wait.

Yes you can do two test but is recommended to have a spare in case something goes wrong during a test…good luck.

We were there a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed South Beach..quiet not too crowded and floating tiki bar if you want that.  Water was amazing. 

We spend our money in spa and casino….get free cruises through the casino and have been to most ports over and over so this is our excursions.  Love it when all are off the ship during pert days….we usually do spa thermal while everyone is getting off the ship and then we get off to do whatever and are back on the ship before crowds get back on.  We have several restaurants/bars we like and like doing things on our own.  New ports we do like to spend more time at.  Is it worth it..for us yes usually we have gym and spa to ourselves.

4 days until cruising on the Sunrise followed by Royal cruise on the Mariner in 11 days.  And everyone keeps asking what are you going to do in retirement.

Hmm we have Walgreens scheduled for Sat am but have Abbott monitored kits as backup for Mon cruise…two days after that cruise have another cruise and plan to use Abbott from hotel.  Will be glad when this COVID crap is behind us.
