  1. We are also staying at the Tres Palmas Inn for our Carnival Liberty cruise in a couple of months. Looking forward to this Inn. Sounds like a nice place in a super nice beach location.

Let us know what you think. We are booked for the end of May, sailing on Carnival Fascination. Staying 2 days before and 2 days after the cruise. I have read really good reviews on the place!

  2. It is a Jaguar. He swam right behind me on Wednesday!! So cool!!

With one boat in port, do you think it will be crowded?

That's the one thing I think sucks about cruising , no secluded beaches lol

Thankfully we are the only boat in port the day I will be here :D

I read in the beginning of this thread that the owners were not going to do packages with the ships, skipped to the last few pages and saw that carnival had packages with them? What changed?

Anyway, I HAVE to swim with that cheetah... One thing I need to cross off the good old bucket list :D

  3. We will be on the Dream this Sunday!! Loving your review! Someone recently said that in Belize it was neatly 11 am before they were able to board tenders because people tgat booked Carnival excursions are priority, then, diamond/platinum guesrs, and then fftf. What was your experience with tender time and wait in Belize?

  4. If we don't get to Jost this trip.. guess next year we'll have to go to St. Johns and plan a catamaran trip to Jost like we did last year and had a amazing time.:D

We did a sailing from Tortola (the Moorings) and spent a couple days at Jost (10 day sailing). Amazing!!

I agree that you will have to really be careful about the time...nobody is in a hurry there. We waited for our return ferry from Tortola to St. Thomas FORVER!

  5. The drinks are about $7-8.

They do not skimp on the booze- wow!

    Recommend the Monkey La La

There are servers, but we just went up to the bars ourselves.

    They do accept cash

We didn't run a tab- so I can't answer that one.

Thank you so much! That answers most of my questions. I doubt I will need much more to drink besides the two that are included. Just want to be prepared!

  6. We will be at LFK the week of Thanksgiving. We booked privately so we will be getting lunch and 2 drinks. My question are: what about additional drinks? Do you have a server or have to go to the bar? Approximate prices? Do you pay as you go or do you have a tab. I want to pay cash since they have a 15% charge for credit card usage? Thanks in advance!

  7. Always book privately! This will be our second time in Belize and the first time was a wonderful! Small group of us cave tubing. Very personal experience and got back to the ship in plenty of time! You can get reviews of great companies and book with peace of mind!

  8. Just so you know, if you read up on the cavetubing sites, you'll find that they say the water that you are in are the same temperature all year round. I would have to look it up to see what that temperature is because I don't remember off the top of my head.

You also have to remember that your are still in the Caribbean (and the rain forest) and it's hot there no matter what time of year it is. Yes, they do have some cooler days or rainy days and any day could be different. But for the most part, it's hot and the refreshing water feels good. Of course depending on just "how hot" it is any day will probably also affect the way you "feel" the temp of the water. If it's extremely hot and humid out, the water is going to feel "warmer" to you even if it's not. If it happens to be a cooler day, the water might feel cooler even though it's the same temp...just a different atmosphere. :)

I am ecstatic to hear this! We will be there in a couple of weeks and I am a little concerned about the temperature of the air and water! I want a sundress and bikini vacation...not a jeans and a hoody vacation!! :D:p

  9. Is your ship going to Freeport as well? Our last cruise did Nassau and Freeport. If so you might want to try to Conch fritters at Billy Joe's at the Beach. I realized I didn't have an answer to your question...it just brought back a wonderful beach memory!
