  1. A few weeks ago the process was easy. To get to the ABP parking we drove right past the RS/PS drop off for luggage.

We could have stopped to drop luggage off if we had chosen to.

They were also collecting luggage in the car park, however they didn’t seem aware of speciality luggage drop off, so we chose to roll our bag over to the drop off just to be sure. The luggage arrived very quickly to cabin.

  2. Orlando was one of the butlers recently deck 10 midship portside, he was great - however he has just left on the 14th for leave.

Not sure on others - but all I came across were extremely helpful.

Ramesh was the stateroom attendant and was fab also, so warm and friendly at all times.

  3. I believe TA genuinely believed the beds could be separated (having contacted Celebrity and from previous experience) and by the sounds of it, it may be the luck of the draw that some do and some don’t.

We travelled with two RS and the other one didn’t appear to separate either.

    • Thanks 1
  4. Having been in a royal suite on the eclipse, the bed did not separate - despite having been told that it would prior to departure.

Not sure if some RS do and some don’t. But from own experience the bed did not. If bed would have separated then I’m sure staff would have as that had been requested and it meant bed in living room having to be made up.

  5. Hello all!

Wondering if anyone who has recently been on the silhouette happens to know what jewellery and bag brands are on board at the moment. A few years  ago I picked up a lovely Michael kors bags and I wondered if I could look forward to seeing any onboard in June 🤩

p.s. I love looking through the forum to see what information and tips people are sharing, it’s such a lovely community!

  6. We received an invite from the concierge for one being held at Tuscan a few weeks ago, and we had every intention of going but the day before the event it transpired that it was at the exact same time as the matine show - the one where the singers hold their own show and sing a variety of show tunes so we had to cancel going to the afternoon tea. I was pretty disappointed to be honest that their planning meant that it coincided with this show, especially when it was one of very few 3pm show performances.

  7. I would agree with you that information isn't overly forthcoming - most of how I knew certain things prior to cruising in a Royal Suite came from online investigation on forums and then through discussion with Butler - our butler was good at sorting issues and at giving additional information.

I do also think there needs to be a greater distinction between the higher suite categories and the lower ones - not so much to down play the lower suite categories but as celebrity offer perks specifically for the higher categories that differ from what is offered to the other categories I think it would be useful for this to be easily identified - or at least clarified so that people don't feel they missed out on using a benefit they could well have had. - I'm not an elitist person - just to throw that out there, but if celebrity make a distinction on what they offer, then it would be helpful for staff to be able to instantly recognise your category so they don't have to constantly question what is on offer to you.

  8. I didn't realise you could get in room dining from speciality restaurants - but I guess I never asked the butler as for us room service came cold when ordered so we wouldn't have really bothered.

Breakfast in Tuscan is one of the elite based benefits that suites can partake in :)

  9. The only spa benefit that I know of is a day's pass (port day) to the Persian garden - but that's only because you get the elite level coupons as part of being in the suite - not sure if you also get these when in a lower than Royal suite (it's possible that you do).

They were also offering a friends and family deal where when you booked 5 treatments you got 20% off - they were selling this in Michaels club on embarkation day but I'm assuming this offer was also available to other guests on the ship.

  10. If you are in a suite where you get contacted prior to the cruise then you can request at that point. But if not then when you are on board you can request these from the Michaels club concierge. We requested from shore side concierge and they were waiting for us when we arrived in the cabin and then the luminae maitre d also gave us a copy when we dined there on the first evening - her set were in the correct order but the ones pre arranged were not so maybe something to double check before going ahead and making speciality reservations based on them!

  11. On the July 17th eclipse cruise I'm sure they actually had luminae open for lunch on the first port day, Bruges - I'm pretty sure the reason they gave for this was that we would be leaving port at 3 and so they had decided to open for lunch.

  12. Interestingly enough, we spoke with the head chef of luminae (on the eclipse - Brian was his name) just recently and asked him how big a team he had, and he responded with 6, I'd have thought it would be bigger than this for the number of covers they do, just shows you how few they really need for the number of dishes they do.

An aside point of course :)

  13. I personally think that luminae could run a reduced service lunch on port days, while many people like to go into port and do tours there are just as many people who view their holiday as being on the ship. Especially if you are staying in one of the higher category of suites and as such have lots of lovely space and even a balcony jacuzzi to enjoy!

I don't mean to be controversial of course, but if you are paying more (by quite a large amount in some cases) then it only makes sense to expect more. I do like the suggestion someone made of course of having a light gourmet box, that would be a nice idea! Also with luminae food you can eat as much or as little as you like - I would often have starters in place of a main depending on which dishes were available - so it's really a moot point to say the food is too rich/heavy to eat it 3 times a day. After all some people really like their food and are happy to spend their holiday enjoying as much food and drink as they please - this isn't me but I'm not one to judge other people's choices on their own holiday.

  14. I have done this itinerary twice and would definitely say to aim for the one in the middle of July rather than the start :)

Also as for dressing - I don't think you will have any issue at all with a mix of smart casual for your partner and then more dressy for yourself, nobody will judge, just make sure you are both comfortable and enjoy your time :D

  15. Qsine is one of the specialist restaurants, as such you make a booking for however many are in your party. In which case you'll be able to have a table for 2.

When you enter the waiter will discuss how you go about ordering and will usually suggest ordering 4 or 5 dishes to try - although you can really order as much as you like. The food is tapas style, small (well not overly!) dishes to share for example sushi lollipops, spring rolls, fillet mignon selection, fish and chips, sliders, vegetable selections. you should be able to find the menu through searching the board - the menu is split into sections, food genres not starters and mains I don't think. Dessert is ordered in a different way but I don't want to ruin the surprise of it ;)

I've tried Qsine twice on the eclipse, the first time I loved the experience but last year I was disappointed. The food just wasn't as good as the first time round. Although you can usually get cut price deals which would tempt me to give it another go. Certainly a great experience to try, just make sure you are very hungry when visiting as it is very filling!!

  16. On the eclipse - and I'm sure probably other ships altho can't say for certain they have a bar called slush where you can get alcoholic and probably non alcoholic cocktails that are like slushies - you can also get non alcoholic daiquiris around the ship. You can also get smoothies on board at the aqua spa cafe and probably other places. There's usually plenty of non alcoholic versions alongside the plentiful alcoholic versions :D

  17. I agree that the World Bar is a major step down from the Molecular Bar! I ordered a drink that supposedly takes 24 hours due to its infusing - taste was so not worth the 24 hour wait!
