on embarkation what are your dining options for lunch? we are using mostly specialty dining. any definites and any no-nos?
anything else we should know (being newbies)?
what kind of tolitries, etc included in balcony? is a robe included? anything else will help. ad

it has been years since we went on ncl and that was not a good experience, but we are going to try again on the new ship.
do they have a captains party?
any other shipboard activities of that type?
can you order a bottle of liquor for you room?
anything we should know? we have been cruising, just not on ncl.
-
what are the rules for bringing liquor or wine aboard? we have not been on ncl for a while and have been able to carry wine aboard.

I know this question is a little different, but I'm just looking for just a basic place to rest before/after cruise. No plans for shopping or fancy dining, as we will fly in the evening before and leave the morning after.
Motel 6 Ft Lauderdale #55
1801 Sr 84
I-95 At Sr 84, Exit #25
Ft Lauderdale, FL, 33315
Motel 6 Dania Beach #376
825 E Dania Beach Blvd
I-95 At Stirling Rd, Exit #22
Dania Beach, FL, 33004
Are either of these viable options? Or should I look elsewhere? I assume a taxi to motel, then to terminal, and reverse when we get back. What kind of taxi rates can I expect?
Thanks,
Adam
after several bad experiences i suggest you up the budget a bit. remember, you get what you pay for. we are very willing to pay for hampton inn on stirling for a 2nd time. booked thru stay 123. ad

we used stay123 2 times for hampton inn on stirling rd. no problem. we will be there dec 11. got free parking transport to and from port and breakfast. win win situation.

Hi
Looking for a hotel in FLL for overnight stay in Jan 2012. Thinking about Hilton Garden inn, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport or Hampton Inn & suites (Stirling Road). Has anyone stayed at any of these before or have any info on the area's etc..
Thanks
we stayed at hampton on stirling last dec and will again this year. it was fine and lived up to the promises.

Can anyone suggest a hotel for 1 night prior to our departure from Port Everglades that might have free parking for cruise guests? I stumbled up on one when we left out of Miami last year just by calling the hotela and asking--however, I did get the idea from a Cruise Critic poster.
If not free parking, then a good clean hotel that's budget priced. We are a party of 8 and need 4 rooms.
Thanks--Kim
stay123.com offers several hotels with parking, etc. i have just booked with them for the 2nd time.

We are staying at the Rodeway Inn the night before.
Is it a decent hotel and in an "ok" area of town?
check reviews on tripadvisor, com, there are great reviews & not great. some really made it sound onteresting. we booked hampton inn on stirling rd thru stay123. didn't want to take a chance. ad

forgot to ask you. can you bring 2 bottles of wine on board? thxs

great review. you got me hooked. we will be going in the fall. don't know how many years ago (a lot) i got 2 pair of those sandals. they are made just like that. i have tan & navy.
questions. do they have a cruise critic party on that cruise? did they have that place above the buffet that has oysters & bouibase (Spell). do they offer any kind of happy hour? were those strong blue margaritas @ the past cruisers party. thanks ad

how about 1593? we have it in may.
-
the hotels will call it. it is at the port when you get off the ship. it is half the cost of a cab.
-
arts shuttle is very available & cheap.

i would drink that wine n the cabin. they can charge about $15 corkage fee. they have some good wines on board. also now people don't often share wine w/tablemates. each does his own thing. they could feel obligated 2 buy wine 2 share w/u.
Quick question.... What drinks are free....
