i started another thread earlier regarding transport from the Barcelona airport to the cruise terminal. i had several replies to take a taxi from the airport to the cruise terminal as there are plenty. can anyone using a private transfer company for this trip from the airport to the cruise terminal even if it is a van service carrying several passengers, please provide me that company name and if you were pleased with the service they provided. thanks very much. .

thanks for your replies. i should have specified i am travelling alone and thus like the safety of boarding a bus specifically for RCCL passengers than a taxi. i can just call Royal as soon as i am holding flights and ask the question about airport and port transfers.

Does anybody sailing this calendar year know if Royal provides (for a fee) ground transfers from the Barcelona airport to the cruise port and after the cruise back to the airport? if they provide this year i would assume they will also provide next year. i have a cruise booked next spring so didn't know if they do this in Barcelona. I have been in other European ports where they do provide ground transfers. Thanks. Cathy Berg

thanks for every person's response. i was on an early flight (7 AM) when i booked the flights and AA changed the flights dropping that early morning flight. i may decide to fly in the day before just to be safe. good to know the airport is so close. thanks. Cathy

i have reserved round trip transportation through RCCL from Fort Lauderdale airport to the cruise port for a sailing on March 20. American Airlines has changed my outbound flight from Dallas where i don't get in (best case) until close to 1 PM. i don't know what the cut off for RCCL's transportation is but will find out. has anyone used a shuttle service from the airport to the cruise port they would recommend? thanks. thanks for this information. when i took this same cruise in 2019 i did the HOHO bus catching it across the street from the Movenpick. When i looked online the other day i think they only operate on the weekends and i will need to kill time on a Thursday. Maybe when it gets into summer they will expand their operating days.

wow that is disturbing after flying all night to have to literally kill a whole day to get into a room that you will use less than 24 hours. were you there on a weekend or a holiday which was particularly busy? i will be checking in on a Thursday along with alot of other cruisers I am sure and out on Friday to board the ship.

is this just the normal government run (i think) taxi service or this airport taxi transfer company has a specific name? Thank you. Cathy

thanks for this information. was it not for the fact that the cruise departs literally steps away from the Movenpick i might consider another hotel which would require another cab to get from that hotel to the cruise terminal. i think for me it will be fine considering i am staying there less than 24 hours.

i am going on a cruise from Amsterdam August 19 around the UK. When i took this cruise back in 2019 i used a shuttle service called CONNEXXION or something like that but don't believe they are in service any longer. anybody have recommendations on other shuttle services or taxi services or other shared services. i am arriving a day early so am in no hurry to transfer from the airport to the hotel where i will have to wait to check in. i am aware of the possibility of going to Central Staation and then taking a tram from there but traveling solo and pulling a bag is a bit much for me.
