  1. I wonder if they are having a hard time selling them? For our Mar 2020 cruise they are $1499 and I received this email last night: Dear Guest, Thank you for booking your cruise vacation with Royal Caribbean. My name is Sandra Fernandez, I am part of the Private Journey team with Royal Caribbean and you can contact me at my direct email <removed the email>. As you are one of our Royal STAR Suite Guests, we wanted to reach out to you to offer an opportunity to book a private cabana on Perfect Day CocoCay island before they are sold out; since the availability is limited and the demand is high, they do sell out quickly and they are offered on first-come first-serve basis. Please let me know if you are interested in reserving one of them and I will be happy to process the booking for you depending on availability. In addition, my expertise is with all tours in the ports-of-call, and it will be my pleasure to assist booking your Shore Excursions, or I am able to create customized Private Journeys if you would like to explore the option of a private tour. I remain at your service. Warm regards, Sandra
  2. I just moved one of our cruises over to a TA. First time to ever use one. When the genie sends out our preference sheet it will still go to us correct? I don't want it going to the TA and him losing it, not that he would, but just in case.
  3. We had 5 Carnival cruises booked after our last one in July 2019. After that cruise I cancelled all of them and rebooked with Royal. On our July 2019 Sunrise cruise I was attacked in the hallway by a large group of mid to late teenagers after I asked them to stop running through our hallway at 2am in the morning banging on doors. My youngest son who is 10 was attacked in the arcade and his arcade tickets stolen. We contacted John Heald while we were on the cruise, we called security every night due to the aforementioned teenagers running up and down the halls between 11pm and 2am. We even contacted corporate. Absolutely nothing was done. On the second to the last night of our 8 night sailing, one of the security guards point blank asked us what he was supposed to do about it. We even asked if the captain could enforce an 11pm curfew for 18 and under but nothing. We literally got less than 4 hours of sleep every single night of the 8 day cruise. We have since booked one cruise on Carnival just for my wife and I, we've had such wonderful experiences up until that point with Carnival. There were multiple huge fights, one in the casino where a lady got her top ripped off and was completely exposed. One was right in front of us during lunch on the Lido. We were basically scared to come out of our room because we were targeted multiple times.
  4. So if you use the link provided above do you still have to call to get the same table in the MDR? Or are you saying we have to email rcldining@rccl.com also? I just used the link to link my sister's reservation to ours.
  5. I pray Royal bans smoking in the casino. I love to gamble but I'm allergic to smoke 😞
  6. Thank you very much everyone. A wealth of information.
  7. I found a thread from I believe last year that stated you did not have to pay the up-charge for 1.5lb Lobster and such when staying in a Star class suite. Is that still the case? My wife wants to try Chops on our Anthem cruise but doesn't eat red meat/chicken. Also is the dining plan included with Star class different than the one you can purchase? Are there certain restaurants you can't go to with Star class dining? As mentioned I did find some threads from a year or two ago that mentioned this but things seem to change quickly on what is included and what is not.
  8. We booked one for our Anthem cruise in March 2021 for $499. A few days ago we decided to do an Anthem cruise in March 2020 and looked at the same cabanas which are now $1099.
  9. There is talk on another site where RCI cancelled their cabana and said they were overbooked. They originally booked it at $499 and they were welcome to rebook the cabana at the new price of $1299.
  10. I apologize for going off topic, we will be sailing our first Star Class in March 2021 and wondered how much do you normally tip your Genie? I believe I read that they do not share in the normal tips.
  11. Thank you very much Lovecats5 for the information, I'm sure we'll have more questions.
  12. We just booked our first Anthem of the Seas and are extremely excited. It isn't until March 2021 😢 . We had the choice between 10320 and 10324 both GLs. We chose 10320 because it was on the corner and has the two extra port side balcony's. Does anyone that has stayed or seen both of these cabins have a preference? I started looking at 10324 and wondering if I should move to that one, mainly because the stairs don't go straight up and my wife can sometimes be clumsy. Will be sailing with my wife and 2 boys, oldest will be 17 and youngest will turn 12 on the cruise.
