  1. We purchased an over water cabana for our upcoming March 1st cruise. Originally we booked for $1299 which was about our limit price wise. Last week it went down to $999 so it was even better. As cured stated we like having a place to gather, there are only 4 of us so for us it's a perfect place to relax.
  2. We did not request compensation from them, honestly I don't want anything from them. We booked a short 4 day to use up the future cruise credits from cancelling all of our other cruises with them. We are looking forward to our upcoming cruise on the Anthem, this will be our first star class experience.
  3. I believe it was, we didn't see them running up and down our hallway the next day but that was the second to the last day.
  4. We always sailed Carnival, we will be going on our first Royal cruise in March 2020. I loved sailing Carnival up until our cruise last July 2019 on the Sunrise out of New York, at which point I cancelled 4 Carnival cruises and booked 4 Royal cruises. I was attacked in the hallway by a group of 10+ 15-18 year old African American kids, they filmed the interaction with them trying to get me to call them the N word. Meanwhile calling me a fat white fa*got. My youngest son was attack in the arcade and all of his arcade tickets stolen. We were on the Lido at the buffet and a huge fight broke out between families right in front of us regarding the legitimacy of a person's kids. I was in the casino and there was a fight between two women and one had her top ripped off and completely bared it all. Every single night we had to call security because people were partying outside our room at 2am in the morning. We contacted John Heald and corporate and no one could do anything to help us, we were prisoners in our room. On the second to the last night the security guard asked my wife what exactly we want them to do because they can't control what's happening on board. I was a staunch Carnival supporter and couldn't understand why people spoke so poorly of them until this.
  5. Could be but two of them were Salem Witch Trials in Boston and then the Ghost tour in Bar Harbor. Being a Halloween cruise I would think those 2 would be the ones to see 🙂
  6. We have a cruise booked for Oct 22, 2020 on the Adventure of the Seas out of Cape Liberty to Boston, Maine, Canada and every one of our excursions were cancelled. The letters were very vague on the reasoning. Unfortunately 2 of the excursions were specifically why we booked that cruise. I would call but it says there is a 30 minute wait to speak to anyone and I doubt they will give me any information anyway.
  7. So I've tried all the usual things, cleared my cache, different browser, etc. But I can't get into my cruise planner. I get a message I've never seen before and it's been considerably longer than 15 minutes.
  8. Very true. I just wish they would change up the sailings some from Bayonne.
  9. We were looking at the Oasis for summer on August 15, 2021 - PC, CocoCay, Nassau itinerary and it was going to be 13.5k for a crown loft suite (sky class) we ended up booking the Allure out of PC - Nassau, Falmouth, Labadee, Cococay itinerary on August 15, 2021 (after 2020 dry dock) in a Star Loft Suite (star class) for 12.5k. So yeah, I would consider that a huge price difference and better itinerary and better service.
  10. I wonder if they are having a hard time selling them? For our Mar 2020 cruise they are $1499 and I received this email last night: Dear Guest, Thank you for booking your cruise vacation with Royal Caribbean. My name is Sandra Fernandez, I am part of the Private Journey team with Royal Caribbean and you can contact me at my direct email <removed the email>. As you are one of our Royal STAR Suite Guests, we wanted to reach out to you to offer an opportunity to book a private cabana on Perfect Day CocoCay island before they are sold out; since the availability is limited and the demand is high, they do sell out quickly and they are offered on first-come first-serve basis. Please let me know if you are interested in reserving one of them and I will be happy to process the booking for you depending on availability. In addition, my expertise is with all tours in the ports-of-call, and it will be my pleasure to assist booking your Shore Excursions, or I am able to create customized Private Journeys if you would like to explore the option of a private tour. I remain at your service. Warm regards, Sandra
  11. I just moved one of our cruises over to a TA. First time to ever use one. When the genie sends out our preference sheet it will still go to us correct? I don't want it going to the TA and him losing it, not that he would, but just in case.
  12. We had 5 Carnival cruises booked after our last one in July 2019. After that cruise I cancelled all of them and rebooked with Royal. On our July 2019 Sunrise cruise I was attacked in the hallway by a large group of mid to late teenagers after I asked them to stop running through our hallway at 2am in the morning banging on doors. My youngest son who is 10 was attacked in the arcade and his arcade tickets stolen. We contacted John Heald while we were on the cruise, we called security every night due to the aforementioned teenagers running up and down the halls between 11pm and 2am. We even contacted corporate. Absolutely nothing was done. On the second to the last night of our 8 night sailing, one of the security guards point blank asked us what he was supposed to do about it. We even asked if the captain could enforce an 11pm curfew for 18 and under but nothing. We literally got less than 4 hours of sleep every single night of the 8 day cruise. We have since booked one cruise on Carnival just for my wife and I, we've had such wonderful experiences up until that point with Carnival. There were multiple huge fights, one in the casino where a lady got her top ripped off and was completely exposed. One was right in front of us during lunch on the Lido. We were basically scared to come out of our room because we were targeted multiple times.
