Glad you're finally getting better Nicole. I was beginning to wonder if you were still with us. I was about to PM Stephanie and ask her about you. Anyway, can't wait to read the last two parts.
-
Nicole, sorry to hear that you have strep. I have never been sicker than when I've had it. Stay in bed and rest. We can wait for the rest of the review.
-
Nicole, where's part 9? I'm having withdrawals!!!
-
-
I forgot to mention that I love Freebird, so I really can't wait to hear their version!!!
-
Part 6 was great. The pic you took of the balcony is incredible. We will definitely check out KaraoKay and Music Unlimited.
-
loved part 5. Those clips are awesome, I hate being up on deck and the towel keeps falling on my head because of the wind lol. We will definitely have some for the next cruise.
-
Don't leave us hanging. :)

Loved part 4. It's a shame that they're cutting back in the food dept, but I guess these are the times we live in. Also, I can't believe that they didnt have a ramp to the balcony. I mean, how else is a person in a WC going to get out there? And, it should not have taken them a minute to clean up the "mess" as soon as they were told about it.

Hey Nicole, thanks for the tips on shopping and tea. I am looking forward to your pictures of the balcony that y'all had. I had asked Stephanie when y'all were headed home if y'all had 6281 because thats our cabin on our Thanksgiving cruise. When she told me which cabin that y'all did have I checked it on Carnivals deck plan, I couldn't believe how huge it was.

This works if you have an early morning excursion.....
Start knocking on their door in the middle of the night.
INSIST that they overslept and are late for their excursion.
(Be sure to be dressed yourself, with a backpack or whatever you would normally take on your day trip)
Depending on how mean you want to be, you could even convince them there's enough time for a quick shower before they get dressed... designate a place that you'll meet them...
Then go back to your cabin and go to sleep!
:p
That is awesome!!!

Thanks for your help DMan:rolleyes:
I had posted it there too, just hoping to get better answers by posting in multiple places.
I just wanted to make sure that you knew about that thread because those guys are definitely the experts.

We are booking the CC Cruising with the Crazies Group Cruise for 09/20/08.
My birthday is on the 17th of September and my Dad is turning the big 5-0 on the 23rd so we will have lots of celebrating to do!
This will be the 3rd possibly 4th cruise (working on VOTS on RCCL for DH bday in Feb.) for me and DH, and first time for my parents!
My mom wants to keep everything a surprise for my dad... We are not going to say anything until late Friday night or Saturday morning when we drive down. I hope he likes surprises...
This will be our first time booking a cruise outside of Carnival. So, naturally, I have some questions.
1st- Will I still be able to see our booking online with Carnival, like with our booking number? I really enjoy looking up what excursions they have directly.
2nd- What if the rates drop? (not that they would drop below this great deal, but just curious:))
3rd- Can we upgrade after the full deposit is paid?
4th- Are we still entitled to the same compensation if a port is skipped or something of that nature?
You may want to ask these questions on the Cruisin with the Crazies thread. You have some interesting questions that are unique to group cruises.
Also, that is great that y'all are surprising your dad. What a great Birthday present!!!

I would like to add my .02. My fiance and I are both little people. And we both use scooters for long distances. I heard it said once that being an "LP" is like being born a celebrity without the money. There is not a day goes by or anyplace that we go, that we are not stared at. On most days it really doesn't faze us but sometimes if the person just will not stop staring or there are comments, then we may say something. Most times though we just smile and say hello.
I really haven't had any rude behavior as for as elevators go on cruise ships. Most people that I've encountered will step aside and let us through.

Honey if you need suggestions on what to do on your honeymoon.... Just kidding.
Got a chuckle from that one, thanks :)

Thanks John, I guess what I should've said was that I would be very careful about meeting people from a pre-cruise meetup on the ship. You're right, others that I did meet were nice and it was fun putting faces to names.

When I first posted on this thread, I had only gone on one cruise and didn't have any stories to add. Well, after my Costa cruise I have two weird stories involving the same person.
Before the cruise I had joined a meetup group on yahoo. There were probably 25-30 people on the group and we chatted and exchanged pictures and planned meets onboard. As I was picking up my bags in FLL, I heard someone behind me say my name. I turned around and didn't recognized the man. He said "my name is 'James' and I recognize you from the yahoo group". We decided to share a cab to the port as both of us were travelling alone. At the time I needed a wheelchair to go long distances so when we arrived at the dock I asked a porter if he could get me a wheelchair. Since James was with me, he got to go to the front of the line with me and be one of the first ones on the ship. While in line, after talking to him for just a little while it was obvious that he was gay. Now this really didn't bother me at all and we had a nice conversation and I thought that he was a nice guy. (Here comes the weird part).
We went to the Lido buffet and were sitting at a table when a couple of ladies asked to sit with us. Within two minutes, James began talking about a trip that he had made to Thailand. What made it weird was, he started telling us (the ladies and I) about the sex trade in Thailand and how you could get anything you wanted. Including young boys of all ages. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was obvious that the ladies thought that we were together, so I quickly told them that we had met in line and that it was time for me to go. I got out of there quick. I mean that was just sick and totally inappropriate conversation.
A couple of nights later they had a Black Tie and Tiara party. When I went to the showroom that night to watch the show, who did I see? James, decked out in a white tux with black tie and wearing a tiara on his head looking like the bell of the ball.
Needless to say on my upcoming cruise I won't be joing any precruise meetup groups!!!

Awesome, thanks

Ok another question. Does the Conquest dock or tender in Jamaica? I know that she tenders in Grand Cayman and docks in Coz.
-
Awesome, on both accounts!!!

I have a question, unfortunatly the search function is down and I didn't want to search through 98 pages :D. I know that the Pointe is the fine dining restaurant and that it has a $30 a piece charge. Do the other non-dining room restaurants have a charge, such as the sushi place or the fish and chips place?
