Looks like such a nice day at port Everglades!

Yes, they are strict at initial check in, I’ve never had an issue returning to the ship with a little liquid still in my water bottle. I wouldn’t count on it, but I don’t sweat it, it’s just water.

Dang, that looks wonderful! Room, ship, blue sky! Enjoy.

Yes, the charms from the islands are free. I’ve gotten some pendant necklaces as well.

Agree with the above answers. Just wanted to add, you should find printed vouchers, and/or a letter in your stateroom with your Latitude vouchers. Enjoy!

Huh. Before reading this thread, I didn’t realize I could only online book one night at a particular restaurant. Thanks. I just booked a different one as a backup, hope to straighten out onboard.

We went under the first bridge (Atlantic bridge I believe it’s called) pre dawn. 1st Locks were soon after.
for me the highlights were the bridges we cruised under, watching locks open, close, fill empty, etc., and some marveling at the “cut” amount of work involved. Gatun lake is pretty, not much “action” there, lots of other ships to wonder about. We were on the Joy, Feb 2020.- 2

I think there is a picture of the distillery rum tasting in the “looking for recommendations on excursions in Halifax” thread.

Check the touch screens as soon as you board and book any available entertainment you are interested in.
and I agree, enjoy the waterfront as much as possible. If you just want to hang out and relax, Ask your room steward for a deck blanket or take your beach towel if it’s chillyuse smaller dinning rooms as well as the main one breakfast and dinners

I’ll jump in….
R/t tendering…Going to shore on your own and private excursion are basically the same thing. You only get dedicated tender time when on a cruise line excursion.
it takes a lot of time to get everyone onto a tender from these big ships.
when you get onboard, there are touchscreens near the elevators, and lobby areas, the touchscreens will have an option to choose tender tickets. If you want off early, select a tender at earliest avail, it might be like 24 hrs before the tender port visit. I don’t remember that detail.
Also select comedy show times you may want asap….

“Haven only”
Well alright then. I’ll continue to be a non patron.
dang, I misinformed my sis. I’ll straighten it out.- 1

I have never eaten there. That said, what’s the deal with the lunch on embarkation day? Is it free for all or just haven guests?

We’re visiting in later October. Free bus routes 3 and 10 both end on Oct 10. Bummer.
I guess it’s cruise line tour if I want o see the park.

I agree sometimes the hoop appears. But I LOVE getting something monetary from a stock that doesn’t send a notice to the irs to come take their share. Just saying… I haven’t had the irs breathing on my 100$ Or 250$ OBC- yet. ✌️

Hoping you have a wonderful trip!
I had to cancel our Feb 2 cruise for medical reasons. Rebooked on a 3/27 cruise, as that date is past medical restriction date, freaked out and cancelled that one too. We were both so unhappy, I rebooked, only on 3/20, as flights worked better then…. It’s a circus in my head.
very happy to have a cruise coming up. -
I’ve only cruised RCCL one time. We were trying other lines… then you know…Rona..
anyway. What I noticed was the main dining room food was delicious. I liked the appetizer selection, which included escargot. I like NCL foods too, don’t get me wrong. But seems NCL has been cheapening the main DR selections for years. I had nothing to compare RCCL to as was my first cruise with them.
enjoy!- 4

We’re in no hurry to book anything yet. Just popped in here to say we are missing our annual spring cruising so badly. Can hardly wait for a safe return to sailing. Miss you pool, spa, theatre, yummy dinners, ice cream machines, room stewards, and oh those beautiful views. Tick tick.... not wishing away my life, just the pandemic. Last ship we were on was the Joy. 🥰 Not my favorite ship, but nothing wrong with it either!

Fabulous, thank you. But I kinda want to cry, I miss cruising and long leisurely vacations so much! I should buy some umbrellas for my wine glass. 🍷

NCL but considering HAL or Princess
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
I’ve done two HAL cruises to Alaska. I really liked being able to go out on the bow while in glacier bay. For me that was a definite highlight. Got my glacier bay NP stamp and blacktop NP pamphlet from the rangers on board.
im not a big fan of HAL overall,I like NCL and my perks there, but HAL was a great cruise to Alaska twice.
