Well I booked it last night!

the itinerary is so good, very little time will be on the ship anyways😁

My choice was between this Caribbean cruise and a Med cruise. The Med cruises are priced pretty good, but the flights, excursions and extra costs make that trip double....someday...

Which week did you book? I am on the 10/10/21 cruise.

Well as much as my friend and I wanted to book a med cruise...it's priced out of our budget!

I like the idea of sailing from San Juan for the Southern cruise. We would even go a few days early to explore. Only thing that I'm hesitating on, it is the same ship as our Eastern cruise 10 years ago. We loved it...but I wanted to see a different ship!

Any chance they'll do a ship change for next year?

I booked for 10/2021, I figure with how many stops there are, I might not mind the fascination.  Would be neat if they switched ships, but I'm not holding my breath.

I did like that the prices were cheaper for the fascination. I booked an AFT balcony room, which I am excited about.

Combining the 110% excursion price guarantee with the discounted gift cards is a GREAT way to use the gift cards!

    For our family of 5:

    Carnival.com excursion price: $445

Out of pocket cost with allstate gift cards: $400

    Third party price: $360

    OBC from price match: $93

    Net cost of excursion: $307

Side note, if you have the carnival mastercard you get 12% back on carnival excursions. You get 2% on the purchase, and then they refund you 10%

This isn't a big difference, I'm sure you are getting 11% back currently 10% gift card and 1% credit card.

    Good Morning,

We are traveling on the Carnival Glory at the end of March.  Wondering if there is anyone on here that has been on the Glory since the switch over to Pepsi.  We have seen several blogs that have said the Carnival New Orleans and Galveston Cruises are serving Dr. Pepper, but when I call Carnival they say no, that the beverages are the same fleet wide.  Just looking for some clarification before we purchase Bottomless Bubbles.

We were on there in October and they didn't have Diet Dr. Pepper, so they are dead to me.

If $500 was more than enough for your cabin for drinks (an example, I don't know your drinking habits) - rather than nearly $800 for 2 adults on 7 days - would pre-loading your account (cash, Cruise Cash, Cruise Bar Cash, or gift card) - would you be able to relax about the drinks and take a chance on new drinks?

People can spend their money however they want, I just wonder if this option is considered much.  I know I would rather spend $300 less for all I can drink, but I'm only a moderate alcohol drinker and wouldn't do the other drinks regardless.  Many of our cruises have had rough enough seas that I might not drink as much on a sea day as I first thought.

Each adult 21 or over can take one 750mL bottle of wine.  Non-alcoholic beverages (including water) are limited to twelve 12 oz or smaller cartons or cans.  Bottled water is available from the website for cabin purchase at $5 for twelve 16.9 oz bottles.

I do get an additional 10% off of cheers by using gift cards. I'm sure I would still skimp out on certain drinks knowing that my money is counting down with every purchase.  Even with cheers I will bring 2 bottles of wine and purchase water for the room.

Same here. Actually I've never even bought Cheers, but am considering it for my upcoming cruise. I only buy a couple drinks per cruise and that is because I can't stop thinking about the cost. With Cheers, it would be nice to not have to worry about it.

Have you ever splurged and bought drinks at the coffee shop? It is fantastic to get morning drinks there. They also have milk shakes. Without cheers I wouldn't go there. The big one for us is the Alchemy bar, they have some crazy drinks. I'm pretty sure on my last cruise I tried almost all of them.

Don't approach it from a "I have to get my drinks in" goal. This is the same attitude I take with the Disney Dining Plan at their parks. Of course the plan is slated in Disney's favor and you are likely paying for way more food than you can eat, but the benefit is being able to enjoy your vacation without worrying about additional food cost. Same thing with Cheers. Now this is a benefit to some and to others, it doesn't make sense. That's fine. But consider it paying for convenience instead of actually saving money.

I've said it before, but here is my take again. If I didn't buy the cheers package, I wouldn't be able to enjoy drinking on the ship, yes I can afford the drinks, but thinking about the prices.... I just can't stomach it. Cheers allows me to prepay, and then I do not feel bad getting an $11 drink that I might not like.Without cheers I would probably stick to beer. Cheers makes it easier for me to focus on vacation and not worry about the money I am spending.

5 drinks a day isn't hard, especially for a 'big drinker'.

Also, the 'daily limit' has no bearing on overall value and the debarkation day is not charged for the package.

Not to mention all of the non alcoholic drinks you can get. I probably almost hit $50 a day in NA drinks. I would get a rockstar, a fancy coffee, bottles of water for the port, soda, maybe another coffee, and would usually end the night with a milk shake.

Lot's of discussion regarding specific Carnival cruises that are suppose to stop in Freeport.

The cruises that were to stop there are still going to stop there to bring supplies to the storm damaged island.

Acknowledging this... and a number here on CC saying they will not miss this port... why would anyone want to stop there... ?

Before the storm, what did Freeport have to offer ?

Last time we were there, we went to an the viva Wyndham for an all inclusive day.

Well yes, you absolutely did.  You can try to justify it all you like.  The very fact that you had to sneak it in is a clear indication that you're well aware of it, too.  It's ok to be morally bankrupt, but there's no point in lying about it.  We all know better and you're not fooling anyone.

😭😭😭 I appreciate your honesty, I clearly have some soul searching to do. I didn't realize my position in the world and how terrible I am. Maybe with your guidance I can become a better person.  Maybe we could plan a cruise together. Maybe you can help me remove my hat before entering the mdr. I don't know how to dress up for formal night, maybe you could help me replace my jeans with some slacks. Maybe you could help me quit smoking so I don't break the rules and smoke on the balcony.

All honesty, thank you for the entertainment.😂😂😂

So you want people to lie, cheat and steal from you, too, is that right?

Couldn't let it go could you? Alright, let's begin. You do realize I bought the drink package. Here is the equivalent of what I did, I go to a restaurant and pay for all I can eat, but I also brought in some extra food. Did the restaurant lose money, no. Did carnival lose money, no

    I didn't lie. I didn't cheat. I didn't steal.

Congratulations on being a keyboard warrior and judging others.

So I guess they have no ethics or respect either.

One of the first things they taught me was to treat others the way I wanted to be treated, and if I couldn't say something nice not to say anything at all.

So with that being said have a nice life, and I hope you have many cruises in your future.
