  1. Actually, Joan, they already do this.

Most, if not all, ships now have non-smoking nights in the casino on formal nights.

Formal night was the worse night for smoke in the casino on my last trip.

If they allow smoking they allow smoking - it is what it is. But I find it hard to call it "fair."

  2. the bartenders on the freedom said to to me they not making that much money becouse that what they saying, boleros before use be full all over on the freedom now its feel empty even the crew members or unhappy it like alot people where saying the way it was before it was find why change it,it feel like the non smokers is taking over the cruise line, anyway ill stay with the oasis and the liberty there smoking policy it fair

I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. Just b/c you can't smoke, people aren't going to want to drink? Honestly though, boleros is one place that if they're going to allow smoking - that's it. It's completely open and there's no smoking, but the closed in pub and casino you can smoke your heart out (no pun intended). Regardless, it's a health risk that causes cancer and heart disease among other illnesses and others are being exposed to it. No matter what way you slice it - that's not fair. I have absolutely no problem with anyone smoking... all I ask of them is to do it outside where they will get nobody but themselves sick.

  3. the freedom of the seas is almost a non smoking ship becouse hardly no where a smoker could smoke only on deck 4 outside deck 12 the cigar bar and deck 14 that it and the balcony,it all depend on what ship becouse on the liberty is great and the oasis you could smoke in boleros and the have one side of smoking and one side non smoking, but still the non smoker complaints about the smoking i just dont get it anyway pretty soon rccl will notice that some bars are not making the money, look what happen to carnival pardise they had no choice to put smoking back,i think each bar should have one side smoking and one non smoking i think thats fare

Your right - it's totally fair for you to expose me to carcinogenic smoke. What was I thinking?

It is what it is, but by no means is it fair. It is the only thing that you are allowed to expose other people to that is a proven carcinogen w/out being prosecuted.

And RCCL won't lose money for not allowing ppl to smoke. All the bars in NYC and all major cities in the US are doing just fine. RC's English pub will make it.

  4. Dont get into the smoking non smoking argument i smoke and will smoke where it is allowed and only where its allowed (rci policy)if the non smokers have a problem with that then thats upto them but it wont ruin my cruise:)

    Rightfully so.

Honestly, my experience has been that smokers are very courteous and observant of the rules. Unless I have chosen to go to a smoking venue, like the pub, I don't see or smell smoke.

    .

All I said is that I feel like there's a lot of smoking areas. I don't think what I said sounds like me saying smokers are bad people, who break rules and are disrespectful.

  5. You are misunderstanding me.

Smokers may go anywhere they want. There is no place on the ship that they cannot go.

They simply are restricted in where they can smoke.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like people are smoking everywhere on the ships. I can't stand it but after a few frosty beverages it doesn't bother me as much lol

  6. It's been my experience that about 98% of travelers onbards are relaxed, enjoying their time off and very friendly. Actually... I disagree with a lot of posters here and I think people are more friendly on vacation than just day-to-day. I encounter snobby people literally everyday at home.
