My wife and I were on her this spring. She is a beautiful ship and her crew was excellent as well. I highly recommend trying her out. Her size ships won't be out there that much longer either in my opinion.

I posted this on another thread, but thought I would repost here as well :)
If I upsell from a Spa mini suite on the Epic to a Haven Suite that is not a "Spa" room, assuming we lose the complimentary thermal suite access? I know we keep our original promos, which is fine, just curios about the spa access.
You would lose that perk as it is for those in spa balconies, spa mini-suites and spa suite/haven appointments. The numbers are limited to avoid over crowding so the perk stays with the cabin.

I always login with my Black Card number, never an e-mal address, and only occasionally with a booking number.
But that is the UK web site I'm talking about
Just tried both the UK site and the USA site.
UK logs in USA doesn't
Must be a bug on the USA site
Pete
Thanks Pete! I appreciate all who posted. I used to not be able to log in, then when fiddling around one day I got it working, I'll try again later. 30-60 days? Wow!

Any thoughts about the Hilton Miami Downtown ???
I stayed there in December and again three weeks ago. I thought it was great with a wonderful view. They upgraded me to a fantastic suite on the last stop with a huge exclusive balcony. A one of a kind room that we were blessed with. In any event the location is perfect! There is a 27 USD parking fee per night if driving in.

Hi all,
I just went to check and see if my voyager points had been added for my two cruises of June 18-July 2. Instead, I could not log in and had an invalid password. Is anyone else having log on problems or did they delete my account? That would be odd to do that unless they don't plan on fulfilling their status match program after the initial cruise.
For those who do have accounts, how long after sailing does it usually take for points to show on line?

What kind of OBC ? We had an OBC from my TA and they said it was unrefundable so I made sure I used it all. Princess will give you back your TA OBC but not MSC.
Real cash I used for OBC. I ended up prepaying most things so I doubt I will of spent it all even with gratuities. That is why I said it wasn't promo OBC.
-
It closes after week 1.
Thanks, can you tell me about how any excess OBC is handled? (Not Promo credit)

Hi all, we are getting ready for our B2B starting this weekend and I have a couple last minute questions. First, will/can our account run through both weeks (even if we change cabins)? If we have unused OBC will we receive that back the final morning or do they mail you a check? (if so, how long does it normally take to a U.S. address?)
Thanks!

It probably will be in the 80's. I haven't been on the Escape yet but I live in Florida and it is that here now.

The prices don't appear to be any better than NCL or RCCL.

Seriously? I am doing a back to back on Divina next week because I was able to get two cruises for the price of one on NCL. It will be my first time on MSC and I am looking forward to it. I do enjoy various types of cruises, mytime dining or formal settings are each great experiences IMHO.
I have been very pleased with NCL on the three cruises I have taken and find that service and food are improving with each cruise (and all three were great BTW).
I certainly won't be neglecting NCL in the future as I already have two more booked in December and March. I'm looking forward to all four cruises.

A version of the UBP has been running now for over a year. That said it is a promotion and could go away at any time. If you know the cruise you want to take and like the current promos I would book now. As you said, you can always cancel and re-book later if you choose. JMHO
Welcome to Cruise Critic!

It has probably been answered but does anyone know when you should do the online check in? How far in advance should it be done?
I do it as soon as I book my cruise. I like to get it out of the way so I can focus on my plans. It should be done at least 48 hours or more before your cruise begins.
-
I look forward to the Breakaway doing the western Caribbean. Where will it be home ported? After March it will be the only large NCL ship I haven't sailed in.
-
I've taken three cruises on three different ships with NCL this year and I would say the service and food are getting better with each cruise.

Thanks Radio! May you have a safe trip home!

Not generally - I've heard stories of the upgrade department not selling suite upgrades to Inside/Outside passengers, only Mini-Suite and up (occasionally balcony and up but haven't heard that happen many times). So you can try the Inside - Minisuite and then Minisuite - Suite and see what happens.
I've had upsells from my last two seven day cruises from balconies. One they called me and one I called them. They were desirable balconies though, one was a spa balcony and was upsold into a spa suite and one was a large balcony to a penthouse suite.
To the OP: I would say that many others have the same idea so I doubt it would work. It is like booking a guarantee though, only book what you book if you can live with it.

I have never been asked about vaccinations on any of my cruises to the Caribbean. I see you are from Scotland so it may be different there.
-
Trust me, there is no horror show like MSC's website. I find about anything I need on NCL's site, no problem or much different than the other leading cruise lines.
-
I didn't see where he got an upgrade from MSC in that post, is the other on facebook? I'm not sure what he was talking about in the process of ugrading, I wonder if it was a self upgrade when prices dropped to 1,999? We can mention the site, just not link to roll calls from there is my understanding.
-
Can you link to the post where someone got an upsell on the June 25th sailing? I called my TA who called MSC about upsells and she was told MSC is not following RCCL and NCL as far as upsells go. (this was a couple weeks ago though).
update: I just called again and nothing is available although my account has been flagged as interested in any possible upgrades. This time I was told they may do them but there is no rhyme or reason to the process. Hopefully a great offer may come along before we sail, if not I have to great balconies.

I don't smoke anymore but many non-smokers senses of entitlement is what makes me sick. Learn to live with your fellow human beings and respect their rights too.
There I said it and know what the reaction will be.

It is with Dollar car rental. I have not done this in the past, we usually cruise out of Port Canaveral. The shuttle runs every 30-45 minutes.

Thanks, I will give it some consideration.

We are in Orlando and are renting a car. Two one-way rentals is about half of the port parking charge. Might be worth investigating. They shuttle to and from the cruise port.

Who do you use and how hard is it to get the rental when disembarking the ship? I'm not fond of $280.00 for the B2B I have in two weeks.

I just signed up for an eleven day cruise on the Pearl, leaving out August 29th. I'm optimistic things will normalize by then.
