  1. I have asked this question in a few places but cannot seem to get an answer. Does The Carnival Horizon have Corn hole boards? The vista had them outside the Red Drum Pub which is where the Pig and anchor is located on the Horizon. My Husband, BIL, and their friend spent quite a lot of time there.

  2. I am not a TV watcher but I like to leave it on at night for noise and light. I remember that there was a channel that just played movies.....not ones you had to pay for....it may have been the movies they were showing that week as dive in movies....they just ran continously

  3. I have only done one cruise before and we had 4 in a balcony room. it was so crowded. the sofa bed and Pullman stayed as beds the entire cruise never converted back to a sofa. It is really just sheets put over it anyway..where would they even put a trundle. We are going on the Horizon next summer and the boys will have their own interior room. I actually don't even think it cost a whole lot more do to that but would depend on the age of your children. Mine will be 19 and 16 next summer but many of the kids they met on board last time had their own rooms

  4. Definitely a "your mileage may vary" scenario depending on the bar and bartender. For me I will continue to carry on. BB would cost me $110 for my 2 sons on our 8 day cruise. they would rather have that to spend on their fancy coffees. The worst part is carry it on and waiting with it till your room is ready with 4000 people on the lido deck all trying to get a funship. This year we have FTTF so the soda can go straight to the rooms. Then the only thing I will have in my hands is a tasty adult beverage with a cherry a pineapple and an umbrella!

.....oh and finding a store to buy it the day before you board can also be an adventure.

  5. Definitely carry on soda...it's nice to have cold cans waiting in your room when ever the kids or you want one....even at three in the morning when you wake up thirsty for no apparent reason. our kids brought insulated cups that they would fill with soda or half tea/half lemonade from the lido.

Also I think the only place to get soda is at a bar and they don't even give you the can

  6. we asked for something strong and fruity at the casino bar on the first night. Bartender made us a Scooby Snack. It is a shot...midori, banana liquor, coconut rum maybe....its a sweet easy girl shot....then we got glasses of moscato to go to dinner....every night after that she was waiting for us and had it timed just right to run out card for the shots then pour our moscato then we were on our way to dinner.

  7. We were on the vista June 2017. The nightlife is great. Latin band in Havana...80's band in ocean plaza....dj in nightclub...and acoustic in the red frog. Something for everyone. As for Pics on a cruise in a bar at 2 am.....NO

We are cruising on Horizon June 2019 hoping it is the same as it is the same layout except for the Red Frog is now Pig and anchor

  8. odd question regarding the pig and anchor. It seems to have replaced the red frog brewery from the vista. Same place on the ship....same layout....just different decorations. My husband and his brother spent most of their down time at the red frog playing corn hole...it's a bean bag toss game. There was also many other families planning board games there. Is this still there?
