Just off the Anthem of the Seas and NO bar seating at any bar. I was even asked not to use the seat as I waited for a drink to be made at the pool bar outside.

Hello...we are (hopefully) sailing on Anthem this sunday 5 September. Can those of you in the UK who have done Anthem saillings confirm for me that the PCR test no more than 3 days prior to sailing, embarkation day does not count as a day? Meaning, people sailing Sunday can test tomorrow (Thursday)?
If you care to know more, read on, but probably better to skip along than be bored....nonethelss if you can answer the question I would be grateful. Thanks CC.
For the curios: I ask because we are coming form overseas (Germany) and still have not gotten a link to register for the rapid PCR at the port that the Health Sail Center says we should have (long story, I have been on the phone and emails, etc for 2 weeks now trying to sort it out, everyone is really nice but no one can actually get us the link or give as an alternate solution). We were told Thursday last week Eurofins providing the at cruise terminal PCR and would have an email out to us soon, probably last week Friday. Still nothing, so today I called Eurofins helpline for RCI and Celebriy bookings and asked directly and was told that Eurofins does not offer any at the cruise terminal testing nor any same day PCR tets ever, anywhere and certianly not for RCI. For RCI and Celebrity they ONLY do the 2-3 days prior PCR tests for UK residents. Sigh.
So, lacking some miraculous bit of helpful information from RCI today, my husband and I are thinking we will get PCR tests done here at home tomorrow if that is within the time frame the Brits can get their PCR tets in (results promised by Friday night, and this being Germany I trust they'll come through) and take those results with us as a back up which will hopefully allow us to board even if RCI never figures out their end of what they said they provide overseas guests. I figure if we have the same test type in the same window UK guests have to get them AND tried to do whatever RCI wanted (email chain, call logs, screen shots, etc to prove that), RCI would be hard pressed to deny us boarding. At least that is my hope. I really, really want to enjoy this cruise PLUS even if they refund cruise fare, we have costs associated with airfare and day 2 tests and airport tranfers and a hotel the night before and and and not to mention a waste of vacation days if we don't get to do anything with them becuase RCI drops the ball.
Hadley, we are also joining this Sunday and have our PCR tests booked tomorrow (Thursday) so you should be OK if you get yours then as well. I take it that these will be the same ones you need to fly into the UK so even better for you if RCI reimburse you the cost.

If a successful Royal Up bid results in an upgrade to a Star class suite, and you cancel all of your beverage, internet, gratuities and UDP packages since they are now going to be covered, does RCL give you a refund to your credit card or only OBC?
I apologize if there is already a thread addressing this.... I tried a search but anything involving the word "refund" brings up mostly Covid or Lift and Shift threads.
We won a RoyalUp to Star class in July and all we had already paid out for that was now included was refunded to the card used to pay.

Excellent. Were all the speciality restaurants open and things like ifly and bumper cars ? Did you also get reserved seating at the shows via the Genie? Thank you
Yes all the speciality restaurants were open and we got reserved seating at all the shows with the Genie meeting us 15 - 20 min before the start to take us to the seats and have a quick chat to see if there was anything else we needed. Not sure about the bumper cars but I think the iFly was working.

Does anybody that has already done a UK Anthem cruise, do you by any chance have the daily planners to share ?
Also do you know if in Star Class you still get the normal amenities along with the Genie?
Thanks
Sorry we didn’t keep the daily cruise planner but as for Star Class this was the first time we had it and I think we had all the amenities that comes with it along with the Genie.

Hi folks - just a basic question….. for anyone who’s been on….. what’s the earliest check in/ embarkation time that Anthem is working to please? Thanks in advance.

i think it’s possibly 11 for the elites. We were offered 12 as the earliest. They started letting the first guests inside at 12 o’clock, we were one of the first in and had around a 45min wait once through to the waiting area before they started boarding.

So here are the changes to our Sept 5th sailing still 7 nights but will be much cooler than we were looking for with the original Spain and Portugal itinerary.
ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest,
We’re looking forward to welcoming you onboard Anthem of the Seas for our September 5th, 2021 sailing and have an itinerary change to share.
Our original plan for Anthem of the Seas was to begin offering sailings to Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands beginning September 2021. However, we’ve decided to extend our British Isles cruise program on Anthem of the Seas. As a result, your itinerary has been updated to feature ports in the British Isles.
We know how much time and effort go into planning your vacation and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change. However, we’re excited to take you on a new adventure! We know you’ll have an excellent time. Below, please find our new itinerary.

- Beginning August 6th, 2021, we’ll automatically update your itinerary. So, there’s nothing for you to do!
-
As this is a new itinerary, your original stateroom category price will either be protected at your original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items.
- If you were already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we’ll provide you with a refund for any difference in pricing. You can expect to receive your refund to your original form of payment 30 business days after we move you. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on your financial institution.
- To sweeten the offer, you’ll also receive a $100 USD credit to spend onboard per stateroom.
- Lastly, as we return to service, our sailing protocols will evolve. Closer to your departure date, we’ll email you and your Travel Advisor our sailing protocol details. In the meantime, feel free to visit RoyalCaribbean.com/Health for information.
Any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions booked for our original itinerary will automatically be refunded to your original form of payment. In the next few days, your updated tour information will be e-mailed to you. In the meantime, feel free to browse all the exciting shore excursion options for your sailing in Cruise Planner.
While we can’t wait to set sail with you, we understand this is an unexpected change and may not work for everyone. It’s important to us that every aspect of your time with us is enjoyable. So, should you no longer wish to sail, you’ll have until August 17th, 2021 to cancel and receive a full refund of any paid portion of your cruise fare to the original form of payment, including non-refundable deposits. Plus, you’ll be refunded any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 30 business days. Please contact your Travel Advisor or call us at 1 (866) 562-7625 by August 17th, 2021 to let us know your decision. If we don’t hear from you by then, you’ll remain booked on this sailing with our new itinerary.
Thanks for your understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you onboard Anthem of the Seas!
Sincerely,

So none are the October Anthem circuses. Just have to wait to see if they are canceling our 2 October Anthem cruises.
Hopefully your Oct Anthem cruise will be OK.
As Biker said it’s the Radiance one that’s cancelled, just seen the details on another thread.

Just received this from Royal
ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest,
We’ve been diligently working through all the details to prepare for our Royal Comeback. It’s taken months of planning and coordinating to get up and running, and since our return, we’ve delivered fantastic vacation experiences to over 110,000 guests.
We’ve taken a measured approach to our return, welcoming one ship at a time back onto the high seas. The health and safety of our guests, crew, and the destinations we visit remain at the forefront of everything we do.
As we continue to navigate our journey, we’ve had to make additional changes to our plans. As a result, we will need to cancel additional sailings. These decisions are incredibly hard as we recognize the importance of vacations - especially these days. Unfortunately, this means your sailing will be canceled.
We’re terribly sorry for the impact to your sailing. Below we have some options for you, including an option that has been very well-received by our guests, as it provides a little something extra to use towards a future cruise - and there are plenty of options available for you to choose from now! Here are your options:
Your Options
Option 1: Automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit
We’re providing you with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to book a new cruise by April 30th, 2022.
- This amount is based on your total cruise fare paid, and we’re giving you a little extra knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
- Your certificate can be used on any Royal Caribbean International sailing that departs on or before September 30, 2022, as long as it’s redeemed by April 30, 2022.
- We will automatically issue your Future Cruise Credit via email by September 3, 2021, so there’s nothing for you to do!
- Taxes & fees and any RoyalUp upgrades will be automatically refunded. Current refund processing is around 45 days. We are working as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
- Please note:
-
- If you opted into the Cruise with Confidence 100% Future Cruise Credit, this offer does not apply.
-
- If you previously used a Future Cruise Credit (including previous Global Suspension FCCs), you’ll receive a new Future Cruise Credit. This will be for 125% of any new monies paid on this sailing, plus the value of your original credit at 100% of its value, with an expiration date of April 30th, 2022 and a sail by date of September 30th, 2022.
-
- If you were already impacted by a sailing that was previously cancelled due to a global suspension and paid additional monies on a new booking within this extended suspension period, and you opt in for a refund via the process below, it will be for both bookings.
Option 2: Select a New Sail Date Next Year (Lift & Shift)
If you prefer to move your existing booking to a sailing next year - we’re happy to move you! We will price protect the original pricing and/or promotion on a sailing that has the same ship, embarkation port, sailing length, product, and stateroom category as your original sailing within 2 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date the following year. For example, if you are moving from a Brilliance of the Seas September 4, 2021 sailing, you can move to another sailing that has the same ship, embarkation port, sailing length, product, and stateroom category, and has a sail date between August 21, 2022 - September 18, 2022.
- Please know, price protection covers your cruise fare/promotion on an applicable sailing only and excludes taxes and fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items, as these may change.
- You must decide to move to a new sailing by August 11, 2021. If not, we will automatically issue you a Future Cruise Credit.
- Complimentary Casino offers, Charter sailings, and select rates are not eligible for this offer.
Option 3: Select a 100% Refund
If you prefer a full refund, which is a lower value than the future cruise credit offer above, we’re happy to process this for you. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until September 30, 2021 to request a refund and deactivate your certificate.
- Please contact us to start the refund process, forfeiting the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit.
- To avoid waiting on the phone to cancel, click hereand we will get the refund process started for you. Note: Please know, once we receive your refund request, we unfortunately won’t be able to accept an FCC request if you change your mind.
- We’ll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.
- You can expect to receive your refund 30 days after you submit your refund request.
- Please note: If you used a Cruise with Confidence certificate on this sailing and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original Cruise with Confidence certificate.
Air/Hotel
- Refundable and non-refundable air or hotel accommodations purchased through Royal Caribbean will be automatically refunded to you within 30 days after we process the cancellation.
- If you booked air on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them.
If you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor immediately or contact us at:
- 1 800 754 500 in Australia
- 0344 493 4005 in the U.K.
- 1 866 562 7625 in the U.S. or Canada
- All other countries, please visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contactus for your local Royal Caribbean International office phone number.
We appreciate your understanding and remain optimistic that every day is a step closer to a healthy and safe return to service. Stay healthy and safe. We miss our guests, and we'll be ready to welcome you back soon.
Sincerely,
Looks like it refers to our booking for Radiance in Nov but it would have been nice for that to be confirmed in the email.

Radiance.
Thanks Biker, that’s the one I thought as it looks to have disappeared from the website

Anthem on 5th Sept, Radiance on 12th Nov and one next June so don’t think it will be that one.
-
Just had a email to say that our upcoming cruise is cancelled but hoping it’s sent in error as it’s to Dear Guest and doesn’t say which of our 3 bookings is effected.

It’s looking more and more likely that Anthem will continue with British Isles cruises for the rest of this season. The Royal app has been updated showing the following itineraries:
19th September: 7 night British Isles (Southampton - Cruising - Liverpool - Glasgow - Belfast - Cruising - Cruising - Southampton)
26th September: 6 night British Isles (Southampton - Cruising - Belfast - Liverpool - Liverpool - Cruising - Southampton)
15th October: 5 night British Isles (Southampton - Cruising - Liverpool - Belfast - Cruising - Southampton)
We are on board the 5th Sept and the app is still showing the first port to be Vigo but looking online I see that the Anthem is due in Kirkwall on the 8th. Just wish Royal would tell us what is happening.
-
Just booked for the 5th Sep last weekend so hoping that it is still going ahead with the Spain and Portugal schedule. 🤞

Per person? For a 6 night? What an absolute bargain! Enjoy every moment.
Yes it was per person, after the refunds for gratuities, deluxe package and the unlimited dining we had already bought and add in the voom we now get it worked out about £50 more than we paid originally for the JS we were in. It was our 26th wedding anniversary on the day we boarded so decided to try for the RoyalUp and was delighted to get it.

So worried now, got the email this afternoon to say ready to submit health questionnaire but each time we try to access the questionnaire, it keeps saying we will receive a notification the day before our cruise and takes us off the page. Im so worried they wont let us on as we are still not cleared to board.
If you can’t answer them in the app then they will just ask them at the port. It’s just trying to speed things up having answered them before arrival.

Its not letting us answer our health questions. Did you do yours via the app?
Yes answered in the app, but had to wait for the email from Royal telling us to answer them which I got at 15:15 this afternoon.

Sailing on Anthem of the Seas on Wednesday and had an email a couple of days ago to say my bid from a JS to Grand Loft was accepted. Placed what was said to be a weak bid and was pleasantly surprised they said yes. With the refund of the Deluxe drinks package, Unlimited dining and the prepaid gratuities we already bought f you add in the cost of the Voom we will also get as Star class it only cost £50 more than we paid for the JS and we had discount on that price.

We will be on her next week so are also hoping that the shows will be going ahead . 🤞
As far as I heard the first 2 night tester cruise went well and the second one is now under way so hopefully someone can give you an answer, if not I can let you know after we get back.

A big thank you to the OP for posting this. Just called up and after explaining to the agent about the new sale he checked with his supervisor and we bagged the deal. Much better that the cruise planner sale just now that was £73.53 pppd.
