Same here, reset (changed) passwords on both the Website and the app and I again have access. A little unnerving a few days before we sail. I would have appreciated an email from Celebrity giving notice this needed to be done. Thanks to all on CC who provided advice.

It had to do with the update they installed. Just change password and everything will work

Every policy is different. I had to submit documentation for EVERY THING.  I got the gift cards for credit card points and the carrier would not cover that.

Ok this is how Celebrity did my gift cards, I purchased $500 gift cards and when I saw my reciept they had lowered the price of cruise by $100 and then credited the account by $400. So if you cancel there is no proof that the gift card was $500. It also showed I paid $100 less for cruise.

Ok great...What did you book exactly, if you don't mind??  Veranda, Aqua, Concierge, Suite?   And did you receive any other perks??

Veranda on the Equinox for Christmas. Got $250 OBC and prepaid tips, basic drink package with basic wifi

So is there any benefit to using a TA for my next cruise?  Because I understand that TAs are no longer giving OBC but Celebrity is doing that?

How much OBC are they giving?  Is it per day or does it depend on the cost?

I just booked a little while ago and got $250 on board credit from TA

So we are driving down to Port Canaveral in February for an upcoming cruise on the Disney Treasure 2/8/25. It seams the only package available offered by GoPort to get to and from the port is the Fly, Snooze, Cruise packages in Orlando. The dates I put in are only showing the Canaveral Mardi Gras with hotels in and around Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach where we want to stay at. I want to stay in the Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area and not Orlando. Any suggestions as where else to try to find hotels that offer this type of package?

We are staying in Titusville, a lot cheaper than Port Canaveral prices. Only a 30 minute drive to port parking.

    Thank you.

They can't be used for deposits. Only $500 per person. Also if you need to cancel you will lose the gift card. Also most travel insurance companies will not pay on non refundable gift cards. I have an email from Celebrity stating this

My last Celebrity sailing was in September 2022. I know many of the cruise lines have made a lot of changes/cuts to service since then. My husband and I are considering a Celebrity sailing for this coming October and I was wondering if anyone can give me a rundown of the changes that have taken place on Celebrity. We will likely sail in a Veranda with the Always Included package. I am specifically interested in the following:

    • Included room service breakfast?
    • Evening turndown service?
    • Buffet hours?
    • Food quality/variety?
    • Any changes/reductions in what is available with the Always Included drinks package?

I did see that tips are no longer part of the Always Included package. Is anything else different there? Interested to hear from anyone who has sailed in the past year or so.

I was able to get tips in my included price by going through TA

  9. I don't know if this is new policy or not but my TA got an email from Mary Allen of Celebrity gift certificate program.

Gift certificates are non refundable. What this means if you have to cancel your cruise for any reason you will lose your gift cards totally. Gift cards are not covered by trip insurance either. Talked to AARP and their response was once you buy them they are done. So even if you cancel before final payment is due you will lose your gift card.

Gmail - Fair & Flexible Fares_ The value you should get elsewhere v2.pdfReceived an email from Virgin Voyages yesterday and it sounds like they are purposely talking about the difference in Celebrity and VV.  This is the 2nd email of this kind in recent weeks. You have to hand it to VV, they are addressing Celebrity's missteps head on.

Funny, I just compared the prices between the two for my Christmas cruise and they were more than twice the cost. Celebrity was 7 nights and Virgin was 6 nights

I have used gift cards for four bookings in a row, and confirmed each time by calling that their is no limit on the dollar amount you can use. There was a change in T/C. I just booked last week and called before booking and confirmed there is no limit. I used three 500 and one 250 dollar card no problem. Like I said before be careful you are getting accurate information. I one had a correct invoice two times and adjusted invoice two times. The gift card dept needs to clean up their act and publish the t/c for all to see.

I have turned them in to AARP for the way Celebrity is treating people with the gift cards. They are investigating. Also I found out most travel insurance companies won't cover gift cards.

Thanks for the info. Just read the terms and it can only be used for new bookings. I’m glad I saw this because I was just about to buy enough to pay our cruise off and I would’ve been stuck with a lot useless gift cards.

Also, if I read it right you can’t even use them for purchases on the cruise. Is that right?
