  1. 21 to drink alcohol in the states, but in some states 16 to own a gun.

As others have said in Europe the age is 18... however, according to the drinks package anyone under 21 on Caribbean departures must have the kids package (and that's from the UK site, where our drinking age is 18)

Perhaps they'd taken a parents cruise card?

I just got my ticket today. We are going on Divina in two weeks :-) We have the all inclusive and our daughter who is 17, has the children all inclusive packet. On the children all inclusive they write this: This package can be sold only TO CHILDREN 3-17 YEARS who are part of

    the group/family with package all-inclusive

  2. Hi

Can someone on Divina help me?

After the visit to Cayman Island, can you please tell me what time you were able to get ashore? The reason I ask, is because I have booked a tour, but we have to meet at the cruise ship terminal at 9,00. We will stand in line for tendering as early as possible, but I am concerned that we won't make it in time, so would like to know from someone on board how long it takes when you are there tomorrow.

  3. I understand why long time MSC cruisers who were already Black status were upset with the status match but I am struggling to understand why the OP, who is only on his second MSC cruise is so upset. He didn't lose anything.

Other people's status have no effect on him.

You are absolutely right. I don't loose anything. The reason I started this thread is because I was wondering what long time MSC cruisers feel about the status match, because in my opinion it's not fair to them. I am, as mentioned only going on my second cruise, but we plan to do a lot more and will most likely stay loyal to MSC and work our way up the stairs until we some day get Black card status. In my opinion the status match is a mistake from MSC. I know it attracts new customers from other lines, but they may risk losing some of their long time loyal customers.

  4. When reading the posts in this forum it seems like everybody are black card members. I understand that you all wants all the privileges you can get, even if you haven't cruised with MSC before. I would do the same, but frankly, I feel like MSC treat the rest of us as second rank customers.

I can live without a free meal and priority boarding, but my loyalty to MSC is gone. This is just our second cruise and because we were very pleased with MSC from the first one we booked with them again. Next time I will go for best price and itenary instead of only booking with MSC.

Does all lines match status or is it only when you reach black card status or equally?

  5. I could really use a little help from someone who has been to Georgetown with Divina.

We are arriving there on feb 14 (cruise is Miami, Jamaica, Cayman, Cozumel and Bahamas).

I am looking in to booking a tour to Stingray City with one of the local companies, but meeting time is 9,00. According to MSC schedule we will be in port from 9 to 16, but according to local port authorities it is 8,00 to 16,00.

I am affraid that we won't make it ashore till 9,00, but the tour company say that this is plenty of time, all though they suggest that we get on one of the first tenders.

This is a better and cheaper tour than the one MSC offers, so would prefer to go on it, but can we make it there in time?

    Thanks in advance

  6. Hi

Arriving with MSC Divina on feb 14 and want to do the Stingray City tour with Stingray Sailing. I've contacted them and meeting time is 9,00 and the tour leaves at 9,15.

Divina's schedule says that we are in Grand Cayman from 9 to 16, but port authorities say 8 to 16.

I'm affraid that we won't make it ashore to 9,00 so haven't booked yet, but Stingray Sailing recommends that we go early to stand first in line for the tender.

    Is the schedule too tight?

MSC also offer a catamaran tour to Stingray City but only to Stingray City and back, so snorkling on the reef.

  7. Booked the Seagull Hotel on 21st street in Miami Beach. My plan was to rent a car for 2 days and return it at the port before the cruise, but understand that parking in that area is hopeless and extremely expensive, so now the plan is to rent a car for just one day and return at night. When investigating how to get to the hotel I discovered the Aiport Flyer bus. Is that ok (it stops across from the hotel) or is it better to take a taxi?

  8. I am still confused about which package to choose. 100 pictures seems like a lot and I would like to have them on a cd as well. 10 pictures would probably be enough, but have read that the 10 pictures package does not include all pictures taken, so can someone tell me which photoes are not included in the 10 pictures package?

  9. Hi

Going to cruise on Divina from Miami 11 feb visiting Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Cozumel and Bahamas.

This is our first caribean cruise and we have a fantastica balcony cabin (11113). What kind of weather should we expect? and is the sea normally calm at this time of year or should I bring seasickness pills for my wife?

  10. Thanks.

How is their policy? Will they be willing to change it in case a better one gets available?

In case the sea is rough in february, where will then be the best place to have the cabin to avoid seasickness?

  11. Hi

Booked this cabin on Divina with departure from Miami on feb 11.

In October we we were on Splendida in cabin 12208. Is this one as good as the one on Splendida? Or should I ask MSC if they can change it in case a better one gets available. The reason I ask is off course to have as good a view as possible but also because my wife easily gets seasick and I don't know what weather to expect. In case it matters: we are bringing our daughter so we are 3 in the cabin.

BTW: I booked with the allegrisimo all inclusive packet, which is shown on my booking from the TA, but not on my booking on the MSC site. Should I be concerned?

  12. Hi

Arriving in MIA feb 9 in the afternoon and leaving on MSC Divina feb 11.

The wife and daughter wants to shop in Sawgrass Mills, so considering following choices:

1: Hotel in South Beach with taxi from airport to hotel, shuttle to Sawgrass and taxi to port

2: Hotel in South Beach, rent a car from airport and return it at the port (alternatively taxi to and from hotel and only rent the car to go to Sawgrass)

3: Rent a car in airport and return at the port and hotel near Sawgrass with free parking

Which one is the best choice?
