Honestly, I never heard of a side by side but it makes sense. This will be my first side by side. Never did a b2b either. [emoji924]

Anyone have advice for b2b on 2 different ships? Will be getting off RCL Symphony and getting on NCL Bliss the same day in Miami.

June 9th, 2013 Allure OTS for my 56th birthday with my (then) 9yo daughter and 15 family/friends. My sister asked me and my daughter if we wanted to go on a group cruise. We said “what’s a cruise”? Fast forward 60 months and 40 cruises later....... question answered. Hence my screen name.

There’s no such thing as a cruise “sale”. Prices do go up and down but it has nothing to do with any “sale”. It’s a game all cruise lines play to make us think we are getting a “sale” price. When prices go down it’s to fill cabins and it’s a good time to re-book if possible. When prices go up pat yourself on the back for “outsmarting” the cruise line!

I’ve been on Epic 3 times and on Oasis class ships 4 times. I enjoyed them all although Epic does take a little getting used to. If I had a choice (and I do, I’m going on Symphony US inaugural) I would choose Symphony (and I did).

I am a divorced dad who has taken my minor daughter on 22 cruises. I have been asked for a “permission letter” 2 or 3 times. That’s 10% of the time so I never leave home without it!

Here’s a good one: if I miss boarding the ship on day 1 from a U.S. port can I board for the first time at the ship’s first port stop if it is also a U.S. port?

60yo single male here cruised solo 14 times on 4 different cruise lines including NCL Epic studio and I agree that cruising is what you make it. Most people are very friendly to me and nobody has ever run out of a room in fear when I walked in (that I know of)!

I was solo on Elation for Halloween. Had a good time! Going back on this Monday the 22nd for cruise #38. I firmly believe a cruise is what you make it. Some are better than others but I never had a BAD cruise.

Cruised solo 13 times. You can meet as many or as few people as you want. That's the beauty of solo cruising. Also, you can do whatever you want whenever you want! BTW, Going solo on NCL Epic Dec 9th.

Went to Cuba (ocean view) in Sept on Paradise for free. Going on Liberty (ocean view) tomorrow for $35. Going on Elation (balcony) Halloween for $130. Port fees extra of course. I got an email for these. I think it's a casino offer. Also got $50 OBC on 2nd two cruises.

As stated in my last post NO changes of any kind were made (or even requested) after I received the paperwork shown above which clearly states $25 OBC. Furthermore, I have cruised enough to know that the price I paid as shown above which included the Ultimate Beverage Package was as low as it was going to get.

Thank you for all the advice, input, remarks, observations, suggestions, guesses and assumptions. Here are more facts to clarify what happened. I booked a cruise directly with NCL around Jan 2016 for a Jan 2017 sailing. Then around April 2016 NCL informed me the cruise was cancelled due to the entire ship being chartered. They gave me some choices and I chose the Epic sailing on March 4, 2017. They promised me $25 OBC and a slight cabin upgrade from a studio to an interior for my inconvenience (how ironic). All the paperwork proving my case is posted in this thread. NO changes of any kind were made after I received the paperwork shown above directly from NCL. Also, no TA was ever used regarding this cruise. Lastly, I am a firm believer in OCCAM's RAZOR which is a philosophy that believes the best explanation is usually the simplest explanation. In this case the simplest explanation considering all the paperwork I posted is that NCL screwed up and refuses to admit it.
