Jet ski rental - Key West or Cozumel

Does anyone know if there are jet ski's available to rent and ride in Key West, close to the port. (Other than excursions). Also going to Paradise Beach in Cozumel and wondering if there would be an opportunity to rent one there? Thanks

    Key West

Thanks to all, that's probably what we'll do. My husband is starting to look at some of water excursions. It shows them on the website but I'm not sure if that means they are available for all the cruises. They don't really say when they leave and when they get back, it just says how long they are. We are there for 5 hours from 7:30 - 12:30. Some of the excursions are 3 or 4 hours so there's enough time but that's awfully early to be out on the water. I'm just not sure if just because it's on the website when I'm logged in if that means it's available for my trip.

Where can you drink wine you bring.

Where are you allowed to drink the wine you are allowed to bring. Anywhere on the ship? In your room only? I'm also curious about soda. If you can take it throughout the ship, can use your own thermal cup? I can't stand to drink from a can and the cups we are bringing to go to the beach will work good. I wasn't sure if it mattered that they couldn't see what's inside. Thanks

    Key West

Looking for ideas for Key West other than the Carnival Excursions. We will only be there for 5 hours 8am to 1pm. I don't have much luck with the search feature on this website. I know I've seen discussions on things to do in key west, but when I search nothing comes up that is relevant. I've search other topics to no avail as well. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I hate to keep asking questions on topics that I know have recently been discussed. Anyway, looking for ideas. Thanks

Is it necessary to bring beach towels.

Is it necessary to bring beach towels for use at the pool and the beaches? I thought I remembered when we went on our last cruise there were towels you could use and when you got off the boat there were big stacks of them and everybody just took one. I may be thinking of a completely different trip. Thanks

    Best transportation option to FLL

Thanks. Do you have to give a specific time if you make reservations. Won't really know exactly what time we will debark.

    Any sprint customers cruise recently?

I just got off the phone with them in regards to my cruise next week. I’m just wondering if I have this straight, for one thing had trouble understanding her. She said as long as I’m at port I can text as much as I want with no-charge. ?? Not sure I can believe that. Our first stop is Keys so no problem there and the only other stop is Cozumel. She said voice calls would be .20 per minute while at port. I told her the website says 2.99 and she said that’s old, they have new service and it’s cheaper. I have a “wifi calling” setting and will buy a wifi plan on board so I’m assuming I can make and receive calls for free using that setting. She didn’t seem to know too much about that. I just don’t want to text at port and make calls using wifi calling, thinking there is no charge and then get a big bill. The last time I went on a cruise which was before wifi was available, I traveled with others who had sprint and we were all told something different, but I sure wasn’t told texting was free at port. They told me to turn off my data for the whole trip. Just wondering if anyone who cruised recently can say what they experienced. Thanks

    Best transportation option to FLL

I know there are similar threads but......what is the least expensive yet reliable option from Port of Miami to Ft. Lauderdale airport? There is only two of us. SAS would cost us $30 total which isn't bad, but I heard there were long lines even if you have a reservation. Does anyone know what an Uber cost and if that's any faster? Thanks

    On Board wireless

But even with the wifi, I will still be charged by my carrier if I want to text or make a phone call. Right? I just remembered I have a setting on my phone called "wifi calling", I wonder if that's what that's for. Thanks

    Having closed ironed

Does anyone know if there is pressing service (ironing) on Fantasy and if so, approx. how much it cost. I try to bring clothes that don't wrinkle badly but I have a few things that will. Thanks

    On Board wireless

If I get one of the wireless options on board (value probably), I can get emails, get on face book etc., without a charge from my cell phone carrier, but that wouldn't have anything to do with texting and making/receiving phone calls, right? Would I also be able to use my laptop on board the same as anywhere else where wifi is available. Thanks!!

Check in time - Carnival Fantasy

I received an email from Carnival asking me to choose a check in time or they would choose one for me. I just cruised on Carnival two years ago and I don't remember having to do this. Our cruise is still three weeks away and I don't know what time we will get there. We are attending a wedding the night before in Naples and will drive to Miami the morning of the cruise. It depends on how late I'm at the wedding reception as to what time I want to get there. I logged in to look at the times and they are only 30 minute windows. It says if you log in early you will be asked to leave and return at your check in time, but it doesn't say anything about arriving late. I read some post on this forum that said get there whenever you want regardless of your check in time, but they were a couple of years old. Can anyone who has cruised lately tell me if they are strict about this. Am I better to choose an early time and be late? Thanks.
