For us the C3 cabin on Silhouette was cheaper than many regular verandah cabins, so we got a great location for a great price. The extra perks is for us just an extra bonus. Looking forward to the embarkation lunch and the complimentary sparkling wine!

We are booked on C3 cabins on deck 10 in the front of Silhouette. There is no overhang there, and they're the cheapest Concierge cabins.

I think this is tacky and low class from Celebrity. I hope people will complain. I booked a trip where all the food in the MDR is included - hope it will stay that way.

Trying to evaluate Classic Bev package. Seadog posted an Opus menu in his excellent Reflection review and only one cocktail and one glass of wine would fit $8 or less.

 

Related question - we both have Classic Bev perk can I upgrade to Premium and DW stay with Classic ? Looks like Classic options are limited so we probably will both upgrade.

I don't have any menus but the limit for wines is $ 9 under the classic package.

I have a question about our beverage package - we upgraded to the go BEST! promotion, which should upgrade our package to the premium package, however, our order history still states classic beverage package. I have called celebrity a couple of times and they have promised that this will be reflected online, however we are now weeks later and nothing has changed.

How can celebrity fix this? I don't want to fight for what I paid for at the port. I booked directly through celebrity online.

I would go for the cab or uber. We did this route a couple times and for sure had difficulty finding a shared shuttle willing to do that route. And the one time we did use a shuttle, we had to stop by another ship and locate those passengers and then stopped at 3 other hotels before getting to ours. So if you are interested in quick, skip the shuttle. ( It took us over two and a half hours to get there. But we were the last drop off.)

Does anyone know if there is free wifi at the port? We are not on a US phone plan and data in the us cost A LOT for us. Without wifi Uber is useless to us. Thanks.

Have you thought about just renting a car?

Yes. But with heavy traffic and unfamiliar roads it does not work for us.

Going on the Eclipse in a few weeks with the classic package on a 14 night cruise and would like to know the cost per day to upgrade to the Premium package. We don't have any OBC.

If you are on the Go big promotion with free classic beverage package, give your TA or Celebrity a call and enquire about the cost of upgrading to the Go best promotion. With this promotion you get included gratuities, 150 pp OBC, free unlimited internet and the premium beverage package. We got this upgrade for less than the value of gratuities and OBC so we basically got internet and the premium beverage package upgrade for free.

Debating between doing Concierge class or Aqua class. The price difference between the two is $300. Do you think Aqua class is worth the extra $300?

How long is the cruise? For a seven day cruise you can dine at speciality restaurants about 3 times for the savings - so it depends on how often you would like to visit Blu. For us the difference was about $ 500 dollars, so we decided to downgrade to concierge in the end for the savings (it is our first cruise, so I think the MDR will be more than good enough for us.)

If you got your beverage package free of charge from celebrity as part of the go big promotion, you might want to give your TA / Celebrity a call and enquire about upgrading to the go best promotion. With this promotion you get the premium beverage package, unlimited internet $ 300 per stateroom OBC and included gratuities. For us the upgrade costed € 420 (for both of us) which is less than the € 177 gratuities and the $ 300 OBC combined - so basically we are getting the internet and the premium beverage package for free. It might be different for your cruise, but it can be worth looking into!

We have recently returned from Azamara Quest TA.

All dining in the MDR is 'Select.' We were always shown to a table immediately, be it for 2 or to share with other diners.

Maybe Celebrity ought to stop set dining times and have all Select, as I believe it is the most popular option.

On my cruise only select dining has been available since booking - is now only a small area reserved for traditional dining?

I was happy to see the website down for maintenance, and I hoped for some bug fixes and added features to the my Celebrity part of the website, but no, no difference I can see. While I am very exited to cruise with Celebrity for the 1st time, I am getting tired of calling and emailing them to fix issues that should be easy to fix yourself online.

I booked directly with celebrity - and I called them to upgrade. Give your TA an call to enquire. Check the current price on celebrity.com with the Go Best promotion and quote this to your TA. Remember that with go best you will get included gratuities and $ 300 OBC so if the difference is less than lets say $ 500 for a 7 day cruise it's a no brainer, if the difference is more than the value of the OBC and the gratuities, you have to think about what the premium beverage package and the internet package is worth to you!

It should be, there are much better and more expensive brands on the Premium package.

For a simple european like me JW Black is already plenty expensive and good :D

Johnny Walker Black was on the Premium Pkg on the Summit in August. I know because I drank numerous doubles on the rocks. But I had one bartender actually use the shot glass to give me one oz. :eek: Never asked him for a drink after that.

What was the price for a Johnny Walker Black? Does anyone know the current price? My partner would be thrilled if this was included in our premium package.

For anyone on the Go Big promotion I have a tip for you. If you want the premium package, enquire about an upgrade to the Go Best promotion. For us it costed less than what we got back in terms of OBC and prepaid gratuities, and basically got the upgrade to Premium Bev. package and the Internet for free!

Looking at the Canadian website - it looks like the price you are mentioning is per person. We upgraded for USD ~470 for both of us. (€ 420)

That's an even better deal. They are basically giving you money, a free upgrade too the Premium package and a free internet package! Good for you!

Another update - I called celebrity to enquire about the price to upgrade to "Go BEST" with all four perks included, and the beverage package upgraded to premium - the price for this was about $ 470 for the two of us for our 7 day cruise. I guess since we were on a second person half off offer, this also applies for the upgrade to Go BEST. Anyway - this includes $ 300 worth of OBC and $ 196 worth of gratuities, and the beverage package is upgraded to Premium - also we get the internet package, which I would never have paid for but since it is included its a great perk. So basically $ 470 for the value of $ 496. We would never have paid to upgrade to the premium package - but in this case its basically FREE!

Be careful as I just dealt with Celebrity with regard to receiving the lower prices they are currently offering. I booked with Celebrity so I called them as the price of my cruise C3 on Silhouette (Mar 17) dropped $400. The agent said he couldn't see the price change until I went online and reserved it myself. Only then did they give me the same cabin and perks (OBC and DP) with the lower fare.

That was my impression too when I called Celebrity. They tried to sell me to the highest category without asking what I want and also telling me that the price I gave from the internet must be wrong. When I called back, the same person answered and hung up on me - I guess I will be handling Celebrity myself / or via Email in the future.

I see that before I posted, you were able to upgrade to Concierge Class and keep your perks. Good for you. Sometimes there are rates (like resident or senior) that don't include perks so it's important to be sure you understand what you get.

Yes - I will be on the 16th sailing! We actually upgraded to Aqua as that difference was small too. Aqua was about the same price as our original cat 2C cabin. A steal I think!

I tried to upgrade to Concierge class online. My cruise got € 150 cheaper and I am keeping all the perks. The math was laid out before I hit confirmed. If I want I can also select my old cabin class and take advantage of the savings.
