MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Residents in a wide area of southeast Texas dealing with rolling electricity blackouts related to Hurricane Laura should have their power restored soon, if it is not already.

Entergy Texas provided an update on Twitter around 8:30 a.m. Friday saying that it has canceled the periodic outages, which were put into place because of a widespread power loss in other areas caused by Laura.

We now have our power and it is wonderful to have air conditioning. It is hot and humid here.

Love the daily, thank you all sooo much.

We are on power outs of and on for next three days.

Safety 1st.

160 days 

We were scheduled for March 29th, Liberty of the seas. We cancelled March 7th. Received credit for excursions(2) for my husband and I on March 18th. Received our FCC for same cruise on May 4th. Have not received our credit for taxes and fees and our excursions we paid for another party. I have made several phone calls. I know they are trying...but if they would just be honest and let everyone know what is really going on, we could be happier....

With that said, I really do miss our cruises. Have a Happy Day
