On the Escape too. I'm still excited - a day on a cruise, no matter where it is heading, is better than a day at work.

Thanks to this thread, I just bid on an upgrade to a Haven Spa Balcony for our 11/25 cruise. Fingers crossed since the cruise is my 50th Birthday gift.

how bout giving the Sommelier a nice tip the first night to motivate ????

We've already got that planned . . .

We're seriously considering the Premuim Package - but one thing is holding us back.

On our last X cruise, we had a terrible time getting wine in the MDR - and we were ordering by the bottle! The Sommelier was way to busy to take care of the number of tables he had - so often our wines would appear half way through dinner or we'd be in need of an additional bottle for the table and couldn't get any service.

If we get a drink package, we'll be ordering by the glass - which we suspect would make it even harder to get service.

Just wondering how those who've had the drink packages - and who drink more than 1 glass of wine with dinner - found the service to be?

I've slogged through all 10 pages of this thread, done about a dozen searches, and hunted the X website, but I can't find anything that explains how the wine packages work in terms of how many bottles of wine are covered by the quoted price.

Does anyone know?

Read the final credits. The judges are not the only ones making decisions about who goes and who stays. The producers have input into the choice. Santino is a jerk - doesn't listen - doesn't "play well with others" and has a foul mouth. All of this adds up to tension and good telivision - and ratings. He has kept all of us talking dispite his hideous clothes.

I was just about to post this. It is so obvious that the producers realize he makes good TV and are keeping him around in spite of the judges' views.
