I’m watching this as well for our 6/28 trip

Can anyone tell me what is the best price they have seen before your cruise for the USB Photo Package, and the Soda Package with Internet.

We are cruising in June, but from what I've read, I think the prices will drop on both.

Thoughts?

Here’s my question on the unlimited photo package... my kids are booked in a separate room. Will they still include their pics on my usb?

Hello All,

Just returned home to NJ after our Cruise on the Sensation. We went for my brother's 50th birthday. It was my brother, my family of 4 (me, wife, 2 teenagers 16,14), and my sister and her two kids ages 9&7.

A few quick thoughts on the ship. Even though the ship is on the older side, who cares. Its still a great ship, and looks good. While it may not have the technology and all the activities of the newer ships, there is nothing wrong with the ship itself. They keep you very busy. There are activities scheduled all day everyday. Pick a few and go. You won't be disappointed. We only went to one nighttime show, and it was typical cruiseship style show. It was fine, not great. Good for some laughs with your group.

The Key West stop is not long enough. Need to be back on board by 1pm. Not enough time to really do anything in KW. We had fun there though. Irish Kevins at 11am was a great stop for us! We had a nice day in Cozumel. Did a day trip on our own to Playa Mia Beach Club, kids and adults had a great time, not crowded at all!

Now one downside to the ship... The food was very underwhelming. I am not a foodie by any means, and I was even disappointed. This was my brothers 26th cruise, and he even said that the food was the worst he's had on any cruise. By no means did it ruin our trip, but it is something that you should be aware of going in. Also, a word of caution in the Main Diining Room. The bar server was awful. Bring a drink to dinner if you are going to want one. Late night, they put a few things out only. It was a bit of a disappointment.

The upgrades they made on the pool deck during the dry dock were good. The new bar, and Guys Burgers were a great addition. The burger place is open only during the day.

There are two great places to hang out at night. The first place is the bar on deck 9 outside the casino. The band, Barracuda Snakes is great. We sat there and danced for parts of every night. Make sure you see them. The bar at the main lobby is fun too. Lots of people hang out there and they have fun activities there.

The bottom line is that the cruises are all about who you are with and what you make of it. Don't let the food options ruin your cruise.

Teens get no charging privileges. They have the soda pass, anything else will need to be approved :-)

We will probably set times for the arcade... Adults in the casino, teens in the arcade. It will limit both of us... LOL!

Photos, speciality restaurants, trinkets, tips for porters, room service, others who gave you great service

What is an appropriate amount to pay people if we have already prepaid for the cruise? Can we just leave an extra $20 in the room at the end? Will the room guy know we've prepaid for the tips?

Hello Fellow Cruisers -

Looking for some help with some vacation budgeting. My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 16, 14) are heading on the 4 night Sensation next Thursday. We are all buying the appropriate drink packages, so Soda, and Booze will be prepaid. We also prepaid the tips.

We are doing an excursion on our own in Cozumel, so there is no expense for that. So, outside of bingo, the casino, and the arcade, what else have you paid for on the ship?

I am budgeting $400 for the casino/bingo, and then another $150 for other charges.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

We are heading on the 4 day Sensation on 3/9, 2 adults 2 teenagers. Trying to figure out if the drink package for the adults and kids are worth it.

For the Cheers package for the adults, are there any restrictions, bottled/can/non draft beers are eligible, correct? How about buckets of beer? We drink more beer than we do hard stuff.

What about restrictions for the kids?

We are on the Carnival Sensation and will be in Cozumel on March 11. Its my understanding that the ship does not dock until around noon, and it seems that paying for a day pass at an all inclusive doesn't make a lot of sense.

Found Paradise Beach... We are a group of 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 kids under 10.

Seems to me that Paradise Beach may make the most sense for our group. Does anyone know what time it closes?

Please advise and provide any thoughts.
