I booked the five free excursions and paid for a sixth. I would like to exchange a free one for a different one in the same port.  Signed on to my booked cruise and can not figure out how to do this. No way to cancel.  Cant add as i get a conflict message.

cruise is not until oct 1, 2022

I may be mistaken, but my understanding is that it cannot be done on-line.  Best to call O, or work thru your TA.

It wasn’t my intention to be rude. The new rules went into effect 1 Jan 22. What occurred before then doesn’t matter. Oceania ships can’t cross the 60 degree South latitude. Just suggesting one look at their globe to understand what that means in Antarctica. The rules are also in effect for 60 degrees north. This puts Greenland and far north Alaska off limits likewise.

I don’t believe any of Regent’s ship can now go there.

Wow, the 60 degrees north puts anything north of Whittier or Seward, Alaska; or Bergen, Norway or Helsinki, Finland, out-of-bounds.  As well as Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, etc.  Many existing cruises will require to be modified...

We’re on the “extended journey” (FCO-MIA) that includes your cruise. Our O web account shows Split and Trieste grayed out (since Venice was dumped). At least folks on the single segment see something offered.

I called a trusted long-serving O phone rep and he confirmed that Split/Trieste tours for OUR extended journey are not showing in his booking system. And he has sent a note to the Destination Services folks (to no avail so far).

Oddly (and perhaps unbelievably), a second call to a random O phone rep got an answer that “Split and Trieste may be dumped as well.”

    I doubt it.

in any case, all we can do is keep contacting O to straighten out the Split/Trieste excursion mess.

    FF,

On our extended journey, the Split and Trieste ports are available for excursions as of this a.m.  And on our second extended journey from Rome to Miami, the port of Arrecife, Canary Islands, was still  blocked in my online booking, but an O Rep was able to see it and book for me.

Exactly! If you live on the west coast or your TA is on the west coast, you have a disadvantage - unless there is an option to call 1-2 days before and pre book. For some reason, I still didn't get a clear answer from veteran members here if this is possible - maybe they want less competition?

My understanding is that the Public booking opens on May 4 at 9:00 ET.  I do not have any experience with the purported "pre-booking" scenario, so I can not advise on that aspect.

  5. The Oceania Web Master replied that the issue is with McAfee WebAdvisor:

"Our site is secure, so sometimes it might be the settings on your browsers also causing this issue.  Based on the screenshot I do see that your security software McAfee is provided you this message not us. If you have this software installed you can actually remove these pop ups from occurring."

I subsequently did an on-line chat with McAfee Customer Service.  I allowed them remote access to my desktop PC, and the tech worked for 48 minutes to find and isolate the issue within the Oceania website.  She finally just put the Oceania website on my PC's Trusted List, so McAfee WebAdvisor will not perform any analysis on it when I access the website.

So, this is resolved in what I will term a "work-around", and subsequently this topic is closed for me...

THANKS again for all of your replies to assist.  Hope to see all onboard again in the future!

  6. For the last 10 days I have received a warning banner across the top of the Oceania website from my third-party antivirus software.  I wrote a comment to Oceania's web page I.T. folks about it, but I have not heard from them.  Does anyone else get a warning from their anti-virus software?  The warning does not give confidence on the use of the site for all the necessary transactions.  Thanks.

  7. I have found very good success with my insurance purchases through TripInsuranceStore.com.  They have a regular forum here on Cruise Critic where you might find answers to your unique issue.  I find the best way is to just call them.  Good Luck on your ATW booking!

  8. My Vista B2B in Summer 2023 also did not include PPG from our usually gratuitously friendly Connoisseur Club TA.  When I asked, he said he "had not seen the pool for gratuities for Vista on any voyages for 2023".  He also said, "I believe they feel they can sell without having the gratuity pool for the Agents."  My TA did, however, provide a 5% rebate...

  9. We have not done the Taj Mahal Land Program, but to answer your other questions, my experience with O’s Land Programs is that they are very, very good.

We did a pre-cruise from Singapore to Angor Wat in 2018.  The hotel and food in Siem Reap, Cambodia, were as good as could be expected in the region.  The tour operator was exceptional.  My wife had some problems with the heat, and they took extra care with her.  The hotel in Singapore, The Regent Singapore, was “upper mid-range”.

We also did a post-cruise Land Program on the same sailing, into China for Beijing’s Forbidden City, the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian, and the Great Wall.  Again, the tour operator was exceptional.  In this instance, the hotels and food were of highest quality.

We also did a pre-cruise from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls in 2020.  The tour experience was outstanding.  The hotel in BA was “upper mid-range”, while the resort hotel and food in Iguazu Falls were very nice.

We have received great value (and peace-of-mind) from every O Land Program.  They have provided incredible memories.  The only downside that I can remember…on EACH of the flight segments for every Land Program, I always had a middle seat assignment, with no opportunity to make a change.  As a multi-million miler frequent flyer, this was “tough” to take…

  10. I have a Priority Wait List (PWL) booking on Oceania Cruise Line for 2022.  To gain "priority" on the Wait List, I made a deposit.  I was made to understand that the reservation is considered an unconfirmed booking.  And as such, even though a deposit was provided, the actual "deposit date" for the trip insurance "clock start" of a waiver of pre-existing conditions is not until the booking is confirmed.  Is that correct?
