  1. Hi, most ports do have tours & information representatives.... In Wellington check out shoretrips & tours- $55 for half day tour of sights including a ride in cable car & visiting Mt Victoria. In Melbourne (my hometown) you dock not far from city- Southbank has great eateries & shopping along Yarra river, there's the Aquarium, Eureka skytower with viewing platform. Other places to consider- Royal Botanical Gardens, Shrine of Remembrance, Zoo, The Observation Wheel at Docklands, Queen Victoria Market (great for cheap souvenirs- not open everyday though) & Bourke street Mall. Lots to see. Enjoy!

  2. Cruising on Ovation next month, have bought this package- can someone please explain how this works? I'm aware that first night of package will be on either first or second night of cruise- do I choose the other nights once onboard or can I choose all nights & select restaurants prior to sailing?

Also, if for example one night we dine at Jamie's with package is there an extra charge (beside drink purchases) ? Cruise planner shows Jamie's from $46 & Wonderland from $65. Want to organize as much as possible prior to cruise so we don't miss out on restaurants & seating times.

    TIA for help & advice.

  3. We are cruising NZ 9th Jan on Ovation- never been to NZ before... I've booked following - Auckland- doing our own thing- will walk to Skytower & have booked a Devonshire tea in the revolving restaurant, plus check out Victoria Park market. In Tauranga have booked day tour to Rotorua through Jim Archer tours - check out his website & video - payment made on day of tour. Wellington booked half day tour through Shore trips & tours- $55 each includes cable car ride, sight seeing & visit Mt Victoria. Dunedin have booked taieri gorge railway direct through company for $130 each. Research is the key & I've done plenty!!! Good luck & I'm sure you will enjoy your first cruise [emoji2]
